I think someone did mention earlier in the thread about something going on behind the scenes that could explain what's going on with them. IIRC, the old friends have been tossed and it is a new crowd that is leeching. At the moment, everything they pull out of the bag has been done before and in all honesty, much better. I do wonder how far they are willing to go to get the attention they want before as you say, the inevitable running into a wall happens.

I am not the biggest Sam Smith fan but credit to him for having a wonderful group of mates that look out for him. It must have been so frustrating for him that instead of being approached the proper way to ask for a photo she tried to film the situation for TikTok views and kept shouting his name which will draw attention to others that he's around when he's trying to have a night out with pals. She went about getting her photo completely wrong.

For a while I thought Sam had a humiliation fetish. But I’d expect to sense some sort of satisfaction or achievement from them in that case and I never do. It’s just all so try-hard and awkward.

I wonder what the schtick will be for the next album?! 😆

But honestly he's such a good singer. I definitely think he's an attention seeker & wind up merchant because he knows those antics piss people off and create headlines.

There seems to be many artists who are going through a stage of being OTT and controversial. Doja Cats new video with devil and shaved head. Also what is the obsession with the devil in music all of a sudden?

They had an incredible run of tracks from Promises to How Do You Sleep. But yeah, completely fucked it with everything that followed. Also, and I’m sure it’s been discussed earlier on this thread, are they having a breakdown with all these weird paid for pap shots?
