I think the reason Sam annoys me is that it’s like he’s jumping from fad to fad to try and fit in. It’s like he’s trying to show off to the world that he’s finally happy and out, but it screams that he’s trying too hard. You can tell he’s just got a lot of trauma to work through and is trying to channel it into being “outrageous”. I can’t help thinking too as others have said that he doesn’t do well with men so he’s trying to tap into all these niches of the extremes of sexuality.

I always remember when he lost lots of weight and was doing a whole press run about it and Amelia Freer’s book, and then like 6 months later he’d piled it all back on again. Just jumping from trend to trend.
I think a different person might be able to carry off what Sam’s doing - but that person would have to have a lot more presence, and do it with a bit of humour / tongue-in-cheek. Sam just looks uncomfortable. I don’t think he’s really into it (however much he might protest otherwise) and he can’t carry it off.

Sam looking normal here haha.

But honestly he's such a good singer. I definitely think he's an attention seeker & wind up merchant because he knows those antics piss people off and create headlines.

There seems to be many artists who are going through a stage of being OTT and controversial. Doja Cats new video with devil and shaved head. Also what is the obsession with the devil in music all of a sudden?
It wouldn't be too bad if all of them didn't think they were the first to do it and they were more controversial than others. Bowie wearing dresses in the 70s and getting in shit because he put his arm around Mick Ronson on TOTP was controversial...Freddie Mercury wearing mini skirts and tights was seen as controversial......whatever this is they are getting the attention they clearly wanted but not for the reasons they wanted it.

Oh come off it all he had to do was say 'Hi' back no need for his mates to react like that.
No, I think some fans do need to be set firm boundaries. I've seen so much terrible behaviour from fans of all ages in my time that is not to be excused.

So are you saying because you hate football that makes you non binary 😂
You are man/male, no such thing as Non Binary 🙄

Sam Smith is a pathetic man, desparate for attention, he is a gay man with a fetish or two, years ago his fetish for women's/rubber clothing was kept behind closed doors, now it seems OK to parade your oddness on TV in front of children. 😡

Yes all loons, their behavior is not acceptable to the majority of sane people that know you're either a male, a female, gay, straight or bi, that's it, there is no more.
Less than 2% are born intersex.
A few people got what I said. You didn't.

I read a lot of this ‘don’t their friends or family say something’ (not just here but a lot of threads/comments I've seen over the years). What if they have? What if they are desperately trying to stop this behaviour but are being ignored? Not just Sam but all people who appear to need the same help and advice

Dressing like Madonna but with like 1% of her ability to dance, perform, give good entertainment.
I think Madonna is who they want to be compared to as they seemingly cover Human Nature at the concert and I wonder if the pic of them in the thong, fishnets, and boots is what they wear when they sing it?

They do seem to be getting likened to her a lot lately and it really doesn't help their case. When she used to do all the Sex stuff, raunchy performances, and wearing next to nothing...she never seemed to be reluctant or embarrassed about doing it and owned it regardless of what anyone thought. With Sam, it seems the opposite...like someone stepping into their big brother/sister's heels and trying to be like them and it not working. Anytime they do something....being near-naked on stage, wearing dresses in pics, the faux golden showers in the video, playing with Satanism....it's been done much better before and in a time when it was a big deal to do stuff like that as you could lose your career over it. Someone else in the thread talked about them wanting to show us their arsehole and I honestly think at some point a sex tape might pop up and rather than pretend it was leaked like normal, they will proudly admit they released it.

That video. If he was a normal person doing this he would be all over Facebook as the weirdo to avoid (you know the local share this kinda posts about the oddball in the park) this is either a wind up or he is having a breakdown
lots of normal AGPs are doing stuff like this so why should he be any different

I get your point, but as a mother of 2 young boys, I worry about the crap they are going to see before they are adults. I would like my kids to be well adjusted, respectful of women, not perverts etc. The stats regarding children being subjected to porn are shocking and definitely concerning. I certainly didn't see any porn videos until I was an adult. Whilst not porn exactly, his most recent video isn't far from it. Fetishes belong behind closed doors, thank you please.

On top of that, gender ideology is dangerous. It has become a fad, but one that could potentially physically and mentally harm our kids and is slowly affecting womens' rights, sport, rights, awards etc etc. Regardless of all that, I'm not sure I buy it from Sam anyway. I can't help but feel this gender bollocks is a result of the backlash against him crying in his mansion over lockdown. Distraction tactic.
Very well said.

Why would it be fisherthem and not fisherperson? Is the next step to not even identify as a person?

I thought we had all this done and dusted about 25 years ago when we started using police officer and chair instead of policeman/chairman, etc.

They would find people a lot more accepting of their way of life if they weren't so bloody precious about it.
Exactly. You wouldn’t say fisher-he or fisher-she so fisher-them is not a logical alteration. It’s like he’s so indoctrinated, all logic and reason has gone and that extends to his grasp of the English language

I just saw this, 500k cost for that performance!! Wow. He'd have been better off just standing on the stage with a mic, singing the song. All those props, so costly, just to be shocking 😮
To be honest I wouldn't take figures like that seriously. Hugely made up for buzz. Like when they said Madonna spent 5 million on avatars for performing at the billboards. No chance she spent anywhere near that much on somewhat ropey computer visuals that a couple of recent grads could make in a few weeks. The people saying the 5 million didn't even understand it was avatars not hollograms so they were just pasted on top for people at home to view.
