I really liked her old videos but the lives I find a bit cringey sometimes and they are too long

Blimey, 2 videos in a month. What’s going on? Latest one about retail tricks is boring, we know this stuff, but well done for getting a vid out two weeks after the last one.
Staggering to see that 17 hours after releasing the latest it’s at 850k views and she has almost 1m subs. How much is this woman earning from YouTube?
she has 9.48 million subs..

She does post on tiktok and has created some very very condensed (~1 min) ‘franken’ videos, she did it for a Burger King candle IIRC. I get the sense she feels much more comfortable doing those short form videos but they’re obviously lacking compared to her long YouTube videos

I don't get it either. She puts alot of unnecessary stuff in her videos too, like a lot of history, sometimes for no reason basically to pad out the video. I'd rather see a 15 minute well edited video than 45 minutes of the history of the world and everything in it..
It also means she is unlikely to get new subscribers does it, the whole algorithm really makes it important to post regularly at the same time

she did put a few pictures of them together on her story with ‘until we meet again’ as a caption

ahhh my bad I must have missed them overnight or something, I did think it was odd especially as I think she sent Sara and Hyun some clothes a few weeks ago so it seemed like they kept in touch

Maybe they're out of practice at doing a fast turn-around on editing videos?

Did anyone else watch this week's livestream?
Was that the vegetable slicer one?
it was like 90 mins too and they tried out 3 kinds of devices. I got pretty bored real fast and found Tyler kinda annoying. I just want them to do their usual content.
I rewatched their wedding video and that’s a gem! I love it

Over 10million subscribers brings in the dough, whatever the output I guess. The views were at 700k+ when I watched it, and it'd only been up for a couple of hours. That diamond (?) play button= 💲

She did say they have more travel content coming up, so that must have worked out very well for them 👍🏼

Agree with everything here. The Kleinfeld clip is the exact thing I mean about putting alot of pointless shit in her videos. It's just not needed?

I also don't understand why she went through her weeding with a camera like a documentary. She should have switched off and just uploaded whatever the videograoher gave her or not uploaded at all! I did love their wedding but it just didn't seem like they switched off which is sad.

Exactly. She used to do long videos once a week so I'm not sure why she can't do the same now? I know she was struggling before with comments she was getting but you're going to get that when you put yourself online.
yeah I agree, I get dealing with negative messages must be difficult but I am often surprised how sensitive people who put themselves online like this seem to be, if I was I wouldn;t put myself online tbh

At her level doesn’t she have people advising and advocating for her? If not she needs to spend some of her massive income on that. If the “help” is the same people that we see hear on Tyler’s channel adding nothing to the proceedings other than being complete sycophants then get a grip.

It's weird how Tyler carried that live stream and Saf seemed really nervous and awkward. I love the franken series so makes me wonder why they couldn't have just made it in to a proper video?

Sorry, perhaps I should've summarised! lol!
I agree with you though, Safiya's channel hasn't ever been a continuous stream of videos, I don't see what the difference is between then and now and as harsh as it is, this whole pandemic can't just be an excuse for the lack of videos because she wasn't producing that much content beforehand either! I do feel for her if being quarantined has affected her mental health though, I didn't realise she was so isolated from both her and Tyler's family.

She reminds me a lot of Daniel Howell, reading through that post, actually. He's stopped making videos as often as he once did, because he holds himself up to this high impossible standard and then gets defeated if he films a video that isn't up to this imaginary standard. In cases like that I think umm-ing and ahh-ing over content doesn't help... you just need to rip the plaster off and go for it!
Don't worry I wouldn't ask you to do that lol. Do either of them have jobs outside youtube?

I watched her bath bomb video yesterday, and the amount of ‘stuff’ involved to eventually come up with four franken-bath bombs was a bit much. You wonder what happened to all the discarded bath bomb powder and the plastic containers she kept them in after smashing them up. Using two food processors - are they good for food use after a bout in the dishwasher? And then buying a bath bomb press which was no small piece of kit. I’m sure some stuff can get resold but still, a lot of stuff to use for a 30 minute video. I will admit I was more concerned that she didn’t wear a mask blending all those bath bombs, I can’t stand the smell of Lush but putting them in a food processor and getting a face full of bath bomb dust each time can’t have been good!
i havent watchex her videos in ages, i rrally dint get whothey are aimed at but she seems to get loads of views
