Of course you're entitled to be sad. Your worried about your girlfriend and upset that you can't see her for a couple of weeks. Most people would be upset in that situation.
I absolutely agree that love and other emotions matter more than material things and we've seen that so much this year. A lot more people have started to realise it.

Can you facetime or video call your girlfriend until you can see her again? I know it's not the same but probably nicer than just a phonecall.
Yes, we keep in touch via Skype, but its not quite the same obviously, and I worry because she has a weak immune system. So she is panicking now, worrying if she'll be able to "fight off" the virus (her GP is on the case). I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens over the next week or so.

Flower by the eels used to get me when I was a teenager .
Nobody ought to be alone for Christmas by Darlene Love gets me emotional too , even though it's an upbeat song.

Bezolabub, you don’t need to justify feeling down x

my sad songs are a real mixed bunch and I agree with some of the choices of

dont speak-No Doubt
Hurt Johnny Cash
Out of Reach Gabrielle
Mr Brightside-The Killers
Deep Purple-Artie Shaw & Helen Forrest
Carry you home-James Blunt, played at my long suffering cousins funeral 😢

I hope all gets better for you guys soon 💚
These are some of my favourites (impossible to list them all!):
The Night Will Always Win - Elbow
Bright Horses - Nick Cave (& Into My Arms, Nick Cave is a treasure trove for sad songs)
Hoppipolla - Sigur Ros (this piece is a glory)
No Hard Feelings - Avett Brothers
Blood - The Middle East
Nothing Arrived - Villagers
I Wish I Was Sober - Frightened Rabbit
Two Cousins - Slow Club
Waiting - Alice Bowman
And The Boys - Angus & Julia Stone
The Ghost on the Shore - Lord Huron
Statue of a Man - Mutual Benefit

I could go on! but I’ll stop myself. Delve into classical pieces too, there’s a whole world of emotion there.

Strange one but viva forever by the spice girls plus sign of the times by Harry styles , I quite liked it until I listened properly and realised it’s about a woman dying right after giving birth
Aww yes Viva forever is my fave spice girls song! I think the music video made is sadder too

I have been in a quite positive mood during the sunny day today. But now that its getting dark my mood is changing again, thanks to SAD. And now I am going all depressed again. So I guess I will listen to these songs and start crying again.

Pathetic isn't it

I have heard of some of those from my distant past, and will definitely dig them out again, along with your others. Thank you

Oh gosh yes. Got chills listening to the first minute of that song! Both RDR2 and TLOU2 have fantastic, emotive soundtracks that compliment their stories so well❤
Yes definitely! TLOU2 broke my heart. I haven't played RDR2 yet but it is on my list! There's probably other video games similar but I can't think right now.

A different corner by George Michael. Heartbreaking song. Apparently it’s about his one true love Anselmo, who died from HIV/AIDS.

Hate to say it but I HATED Chris Martin’s tribute of it.

Fix you by Coldplay

Small bump and Supermarket Flowers by Ed Sheehan
x
This gives a bit of the background to the song. I believe he wrote it after Anselmo died. The lyrics are a masterpiece x
