It’s honestly so disgusting. It’s one thing to act sexual as an adult but to play dress up as a kid whilst acting ‘sexy’ is just so disturbing… I wouldn’t mind but she actually looks like a 40 year old woman in actuality and on that vinyl she’s made the cartoon of herself look super young.
Her fans are acting like the whole point of the album is because men “treat women like dogs” and Sabrina is some kind of genius for bringing this to light. They are so clueless to believe this type of shit is empowering in any regard.

Like if a south african bleated a vuvuzela over the quiet bit of her performance, that would also be knobbish behaviour.

Sabrina has never been female gaze. The mental gymnastics her fans go through to prove that the sexualised juno poses, lingerie and now this album cover are female gaze are ridiculous! They are so blinkered. But ultimately, they’re just young and have zero life experience.

Comparing her sexualised character to Madonna is laughable. Madonna was NEVER male gaze. The pointy Vogue bra never appealed to straight men, and she was always sexually dominant and in charge and not sexually submissive like Sabrina.

I feel like that there are a lot of people who are enjoying making a show of being upset and bothered as they have decided that it is time to take her down a peg or two.

I don't think what she said is evidence of anything beyond her being confused that someone was making an unusual and unexpected sound during a quiet part of her show.

She has apologised for not knowing what it was about. I don't know what people want her to do. Presumably wear some sort of hair shirt and whip herself until she knows better?

When I was a young pre-teen back in the late 90’s/early 00’s I was obsessed with Eminem (like a lot of children around that age). I thought he was so cool. My mum had bought me The Marshall Mathers LP as a present but ended up sending it back after having a listen to it herself and being mortified. I wasn’t allowed to have it. Yet we’d happily be singing along to songs about “Sex on the Beach” and the Vengaboys etc. It really is on the parents to monitor what their children are seeing/listening to (I have kids myself and monitor what they see online etc) but also worth remembering that every generation had their controversial pop stars. Sabrina is no different.

Just clicked into Justin Bieber’s Coachella performance and it’s a perfect example of how little men have to do compared to women. He’s just walking around an empty stage with his hood up. And now he’s on a laptop on YouTube finding his old songs and singing along to clips of them.

Parents obviously have ultimate responsibility for their children, but I think Sabrina et al know exactly what they're doing and to what extent she appeals to children and are being disingenuous pretending otherwise. A friend went to her show the other day and said the audience was MOSTLY kids. She's a former Disney star dressed up like a Polly Pocket singing catchy pop songs - I'd forgive parents for not catching that the twinkly lyrics are about wanting to be jizzed on.

Bumping this due to Sabrina's recent Grammy wins. I love that she and her team dressed her so cohesively for the Grammys. Though it's not my own personal style, I enjoyed all the sparkles and throwback to vintage glamour looks.

There's a difference between "openly sexual" and shoehorning it in to everything. Being "openly sexual" is a bizarre concept to me anyway, I don't really want to hear about anyone's sex life, celeb or not?

I don’t think anyone’s saying she should hide it I just personally think it’s cringeworthy how she has to make everything sexual, like is she so void of a personality she has to turn to sex to be funny? She can’t even advertise shampoo without sexual innuendos
