She had a career in musical theatre (lead in Mean Girls etc) so I really find it hard to believe she's a chronic lip syncer, at least beyond the standard for the industry during tour time.

I find the 'pedophile' comment interesting - what makes you think this? I'm curious to know because I've never seen her try to come across as a child or child-like in any way. She's very petite but I'm not sure we can really blame her for that. Her style is very feminine, but I think it's problematic to assign that as 'child-like' - that's a whole other suitcase to unpack.

I know my daughter, who is 27 (Sabrina's age) is a huge fan and that her fans are overwhelmingly female also. It's not my style, but it's clearly resonating with women in their mid-twenties - I really don't see her audience as being predominantly male.

It’s not up to Sabrina to parent people’s children and be a good role model. She didn’t choose to have them.

Looks like it's all taken off for her after Taylor Swift hand picked her to be on her tour and she used the same people as Taylor Swift to make music.

Parents obviously have ultimate responsibility for their children, but I think Sabrina et al know exactly what they're doing and to what extent she appeals to children and are being disingenuous pretending otherwise. A friend went to her show the other day and said the audience was MOSTLY kids. She's a former Disney star dressed up like a Polly Pocket singing catchy pop songs - I'd forgive parents for not catching that the twinkly lyrics are about wanting to be jizzed on.

I don’t think anyone is saying she doesn’t know she appeals to children. But what can she actually do about that? Should she stop dressing how she likes, or singing about what she likes because kids like her? I think anyone should be allowed artistic freedom even if they’re making what people consider to be frivolous pop music.

Literally if she was a man half the comments wouldn’t be made look at Chris Browns most recent concerts everyone is absolutely raving about it, literally double standards.

For years people have said Taylor just writes break up songs and now it’s ’Sabrina only sings about sex’ both statements aren’t true but honestly what do you want female adults to sing about? No one dictates what men should and shouldn’t be singing about.

We also don’t expect male artists to raise our sons but for some reason we want women to be a good influence to our daughters. Sabrina carpenter doesn’t target her music at young children, I’m in my 30s and enjoy her music, pop music isn’t just for kids.

She’s announced a new album for august (meaning only a year since short n sweet). I know she said it was because she felt inspired but I can’t help but think they wanted to repeat the exact strategy from last summer which worked so well. Wouldn’t be surprised if they extend the tour again. Just hope she doesn’t get burnt out!

I think she probably wrote a lot after the Barry breakup and has a lot she wants to get out into the public whilst it’s still somewhat relevant.

I also think she’s capitalising on her popularity right now. She knows her fans will eat it up and she’ll make another mil or two.

I mean she's sold a tour as this person. I think people would be annoyed if suddenly she changed it. She probably will after she's finished touring. It's all a look/act for this album.
