I don’t think it’s as good as Short & Sweet (the bonus tracks I absolutely loved) but it will definitely be making it into my top played albums of the year.

I think Tears is absolutely brilliant. A bit filthy, but so Sabrina

I was skeptical of the album art at first but listening to the album, it’s clearly a personal reflection on herself in relationships rather than a feminist critique for all women and that’s okay.
That said, it’s a jarring image and to be ‘shocked’ at the responses it brought out is a bit tone deaf in this political climate.

Idk... I reckon most other celebrities would have got away with it and because she is at the top of her game it's just the added scrutiny of it

Probably not a popular opinion but I’m not the biggest fan of the new album, I feel like she’ll never be able to top short n sweet, pretty much every song on that album could have been a single imo, the songs where catchy from the 1st time I listened to it, I’m struggling to get into majority of the songs on the new album and I can’t see many of them working as singles the way I could with sns. The album might grow on me overtime but as of now the only songs I like are the ones that she’s released as singles so far.
I’m not either! I feel a bit disappointed and lyrically it is very one note/kind of feels like she has made the nonsense outros her entire thing now
I feel the same, I find the innuendos and humour boring now as well but know lots of people enjoy them.
She should have waited and built up a bit of excitement. I assume her mgmt wanted to keep cashing in whilst she's relevant but she was overexposed already and there's been 0 break (as a non-fan)
Yea I think they probably felt pressure to keep up the momentum after sns, but I kind of felt she could have released more singles off sns especially after releasing the deluxe edition, feel like it was just dropped and then she forgot about it and moved onto the next thing. Tbh I’m kind of thinking is there ppl that actually genuinely like the album and songs or is it only because it’s Sabrina Carpenter cause I think the album is very mediocre compared to sns. I am a fan of her in general.
She doesn’t feel that over exposed to me. But then I don’t care enough to read whatever pop gossip is hot about her or her controversies
I think the problem she has is that there’s probably not many places to take the sound and themes she has become popular with. I’ve seen people mention Emails I Can’t Send as being a good album she should aspire to but that hasn’t hit it with the general public and really the sexual metaphors is all she seems to have going for her
I don't either, I'm talking based purely on radio play. The average listener doesn't want to hear singles from 2 albums back to back

Listened to the album and only two songs stuck for me
Tears and manchild are the two songs I’m not a fan of! I love house tour, goodbye, never getting laid and nobody’s son. It took me a few listens but I do really like it overall.
