I don't believe it's Big Brother why he's quit It Takes Two. I think the timing is because he's part of Eurovision. Something daft like a billion people around the world will see him working on Eurovision and it's bound to mean he's going to be inundated with offers that are even more lucrative and bigger than presenting Big Brother. For being in the spotlight Eurovision is by far the biggest gig he's ever done and he won't want three months tied up doing a tea time show.

Could the mistake be he told desperate Dan after a few glasses of wine that his TV career dream is never ever going to happen, that he's been very lucky to use others to get chances and each time he's failed miserably so give it up.

That's what I'd be tempted to say to him in rylans place.

Dan seems like the type to be bitter and resentful that he's got no where and rylan has gone from strength to strength.

Dan only appeared to be interested in a TV career and had made show reels...come on...never going to happen.
Rylan wanted kids, Dan didn't.
Rylan worked very long hours, Dan feeling neglected?
Maybe some sort of addiction, which would explain the 7 weeks off work.

Gary Davies was covering for him today on Radio 2 and he said Cat Deeley is doing his show next week so still not back for the foreseeable

I really hope he comes back smiling and working again. He makes me smile in whatever he does even adverts and anyone that can do that I like! Such a lovely smile and seems very professional

Definitely rylan is fame hungry, but he's likable, good at it and seems to put the work in.

Dan on the other hand seemed the type to just expect to sleep his way to it. And to be fair if he had of had any talent it might have worked seeing as he got far more opportunities than he deserved. I expected him to do ditch rylan if he got his career off the ground, but that never happened so we'll never know.

I reckon we will know in the next few days what has gone down.

Love rylan. Seems like a genuine nice guy. Yes he was desperate to be famous but you can tell he works hard and deserves it and hasn’t forgotten his roots.

I think I posted in the TM/Philip Schofield thread that Rylan has been quite focused on being famous, from Katie Price’s assistant to X Factor to where he is now. I admire how honest and hardworking he is.
I think he will be brilliant presenting Ready Steady Cook...despite Aldo Zilli saying he didn’t think Rylan would do a good job.
