In her new video, Ruby tells us all how murder became romanticised in the Victorian period. With her love of romanticising things I am now deeply concerned about what her next new interest could be ...

Her recent video's tip of "dress up like it's the Victorian era" in order to be able to access the content of classic literature is BIZARRE, not least because Ruby completely homogenises "classics" - how is she placing Daphne du Maurier and Charles Dickens in a remotely similar category, and pretending that acting "academic" will give you access to this vague realm of "classic" literature which is actually hugely complex? Also "I think Oscar Wilde would be proud of me" - no, Ruby, I can safely say that he definitely wouldn't.

There’s no rule that an adult has to have a double bed so I’m not going to comment on that, but the way the bed’s set up with the teddies is ... odd. I don’t think that she did that previously? I can see appeal of a daybed type thing with cushions etc for relaxing and reading, but we all know that’s not the reason here. She really has regressed a huge amount during lockdown, I don’t think she would have got quite so eccentric if she was still physically attending uni and being exposed to different people and ways of life.

Maybe she wants to make up for that time she "lost" to being bullied, and re-live a fantasy childhood where everything is exactly how she wants it? I agree with the general feeling of everyone here, it's uncomfortable to watch her play pretend.One thing that always puzzled me is that she has such a romantic view of childhood, but yet I thought she spent her childhood getting mercilessly bullied? I don’t think she did. The impression I’ve got is that she had a good time at primary school, had a bit of a problem early in in secondary school but that her school dealt with it and then she ended up as head girl. I don’t want to diminish anyone’s experience of bullying but I just don’t feel like she’s obsessed with childhood because she was unhappy and wants to relive it. To me, it seems more like she actually was quite happy as a child and she just doesn’t want to leave that behind, and be seen as grown up with all that goes with it in terms of that expectation of independence.One thing that always puzzled me is that she has such a romantic view of childhood, but yet I thought she spent her childhood getting mercilessly bullied? The more I watch Ruby the more I’m convinced that there’s an element of some kind of ASD there, in that she seems quite rigid and controlling of her environment, she seems to latch onto aesthetics and other personas (Hermione and now apparently Holly) rather than living authentically as herself and she seems to really have struggled at that point in life when your world is supposed to grow beyond home and school. Her focus now on childhood and making herself look like a child (so that presumably the people in her life still treat her like one) is bordering on the pathological and it’s actually quite worrying, both in terms of Ruby the person and her audience. I don’t think there’s anything sinister at all in terms of what she’s doing in the sexual sense, but there is something wrong there. It’s worrying too that her parents seem to be letting her get away with it. I know the family seems very sheltered in their bubble of wealth but you’d think that they’d see how different Ruby is from most young people her age.

She probably finally learned not to be performative about these things after the Holocaust Remembrance backlash. Jade’s posts yesterday were sooooo performative it was sickening.Why deliberately ignoring it? Yesterday I saw her like on Holly's post, so she definitely was online. I know she doesn't have to fill her story in order to be feminist o smth, but for someone that used to call herself "feminist" in her insta bio (a year ago?) and that claims being an "advocate"...
(We also know she uploads stories every day... which makes it even stranger)
On another note, *whispers* I have a small separate chocolate stash (sealed) in my bedroom so that others in the house do not eat them all within a day of the food shop arriving.

This is incredibly disturbing. Also I just find it gross that parents are running high profile social media accounts for seven year olds. I used to think Ruby was harmless, just a bit try-hard, but I now feel like she has real unresolved issues that are getting worse.

I was actually bullied throughout school starting in third grade, and let me tell you, I hated being a child then and I hate the idea of being a child now. I would never want to go back. I enjoy being an adult, having agency, and most of all being able to stand up for myself and taking no bullshit. I’m sure we all deal with things differently, but there’s just something very creepy about her obsession with childhood.
She is DROWNING in those clothes! And that god awful bib is back and it just looks sooo out of place. The colours on her jumper are kinda cute but I would style it with some light coloured skinny jeans or something so that she isn't drowning in her outfit. It looks like someone who is wearing her boyfriend's pajamas or something.
