The planner description says by popular request they've made the pages thinner?? who's requesting that. Also they've increased shipping costs from £3 to £3.50 as of today, so unless they were losing money on shipping previously, they're going to be making a profit on shipping fees.
I don't know about the UK as I'm in a different country but our prices have increased for shipping recently which has been a pain to sort out into product and shipping costs, but surely you give a heads up to your customers before any changes, even if 50p, right?

If you’re not keeping a notebook for every one of your essays with the title gold-foiled on the front cover, you’re not making the myost of your stoddies.

So...in that latest planner setup video on YouTube, she brought out her predictable "OIY YEEZE THIS PLANNER AVVERY DAY!" lie and tried to prove it by showing 12 non-sequential pages filled in.

She tried to mask it with hard cuts everywhere to make it look like they were sequential pages that she'd flicked through at random and try to hide that the planner was almost entirely empty, since she doesn't actually use it.

Now she's uploaded a new reel to the PONKERPOD TIFTEAAAA Insta, and lo and behold...

She shows herself filling in one of those very pages, in footage where she's wearing the exact same top and nail polish.

She JANUINELY YEEZES THAM AVVERY DAY, HONNASTLEEE!

A degree from Oxford doesn't make you an authority in studying, Rubes, especially not on a graduate level where you're asked to make your own contribution and actually turn on your brain and engage in critical thinking.

"It should be an academic article, but it doesn't have to be related to what you're studying. This really fits into irresponsible reading. The commonplace book helps with synoptic thinking." Um, what? Someone is parroting random concepts from her lecture notes again.

Why is she doing a video on study habits when she has already done videos like this previously. I mean even the tips she was giving she has already spoken about in previous videos.

"From an Oxford graduate" rofl She is pathetic. She milks anything she can grab on to, to make herself sound important. People who do that have extremely low self-esteem. Besides, Oxford completely dropped in my esteem for passing this moron. O, How the Mighty Have fallen!

Because she is creatively barren.

It's me or she tried a darker lipstick? Marfa relooked her once again?

For a second I honestly thought that said ‘daily tank🚶‍♀️
Reading for pleasure sounds so weird to me like she's reading erotica. 😂 I know she means that she reads stuff unrelated to her studies, but the wording is funny.

The lipstick feels like she’s just cosplaying as a grown up, there’s no way she’d actually wear that out of the house (like when she’s looking for her fairy circles 🙄)

So I got this recommended, couldn't go through the whole thing but this is what I gathered.

Apparently she was bullied for 6 years in total.

And she says she had lots of trouble with spelling. Unless, you have some learning difficulties, I'm assuming these are not that common mistakes for a native speaker? Especially since she claims she would read 30 hours per day even when she was a toddler?

This is how she spelled "realized" and "important".

Rumbster also says that in year 5 she was having difficulties at school and that she would take that out on her parents! She was very angry at home, and have since then apologized to her parents. But she said, at the beginning of the video, that in year 5 it was more out of "loneliness" and "general unfriendliness more than bullying." 🤷‍♀️

I feel like the kids didn't like it when she told them that they should live and die for good grades (they also refused to call her Hermoine shhhh), and Rumbster took that to heart as bullying lol

I might go through the whole video today, and even write down the diary entry lololol

I'd take everything she says about her being "bullied" with a mountain of salt.

It's yet another thing she lies about but doesn't have the brainpower to keep her lies consistent, so it's a wildly different story every time she tells it.

Long time lurker and have a few thoughts:

I wonder if she also over identifies with Emily Dickinson whose cache of poems was found after she died (thus her poetic talent was not appreciated when alive, although we do sadly know of Ruby's poems). She returned home and never left, wrote lots of letters, became almost a recluse, was eccentric, had a possibly romantic relationship with a woman (her SIL). I'm reading a review of a book about ED's letters in the TLS and the similarities struck me. I know she's very into ED's poetry.

I also don't think a PhD is a good idea. Currently nearing the end of one and the toll it takes on your mental health is quite something. She really struggled with stress etc during her Masters, can't see it improving while doing a PhD, in which the stress is ramped up. Additionally, you meet lots of very confident, very intelligent young doctoral students which could destroy the image she has of herself as being something intellectually special.

I have a daughter the same age as Ruby and it makes me quite sad to see how R is so infantalised. I'm not saying if you have a young person who struggles with modern life you should kick them out the nest but I really don't think her family does her any favours. Maybe because she has income from YT etc they feel she doesn't need to get a job but it would help her no end. But I guess her ultimate aim is to be a writer/academic so maybe no need to function in the real world in which the ability to dance to another's tune is key....

I watched old TT's of Martha's and it struck me how the girls were rammed into pigeon-holes with little wriggle room. Martha = rebel Ruby = intellectual. There was a lot of 'look at Ruby reading/writing an essay/making notes' as if it was the most unusual thing ever. Er...OK. In my house, when my children were studying that's what they did. Surely it's not that unusual?
