My favourite part is the "Ability to purge." A way from the marigolds!
The marigold thing. Somebody calls somebody else a marigold. So Ruby decides to dedicate a large portion of time to researching marigolds. Surely a two minute google would assertain what a marigold 'means'? She seems to research things that don't need researching for some unknown reason. To avoid the big stuff?

After all the hints at her obsession with Blakeney lately and the speculation that followed, I do wonder if she panicked and went out of her way to include a guy in one of her videos (it's literally the first time we see a male who isn't her dad) as an attempt to divert attention

It's called fluff and/or word salad.

I don't believe any of these events took place five days before her dissertation was due, and that she was not already done with it. Wouldn't be the first time RuBored prefilms stuff, only to attribute it to another timeline... It's mere mythomaniac storytelling at this point.

There were some guy in Exeter during the first years too, and family friends before uni. But she get more and more reclusive, like if she was scared of most people.

I don't believe she spent more than 2 minutes "studying" what a marigold potentially symbolises but I bet she thought it would impress people to lie that she did.

I'm convinced her actual work and study time is quite short which goes against her public image so she comes up with random busywork and straight up lies to have something to film and talk about. It's all just a performance.

I've just finished watching it and she brought her dissertation to the party... just why??

"Mary Sidney Herbert is the brother of..."

Great start to the series, Rubes!

First she makes a mistake in the vlog, now here, why make a dedicated series on things that she just keeps messing up? It makes her look like she doesn't know what she's actually studying.

I had to click away as soon as I saw ”women’s writers”. Does she mean writers who were women (”women writers”), or writers who wrote for women? She’s such a nitwit lol

you mean to say you didn’t? It’s perfectly normal behaviour, surely?
I‘m never without mine. I graduated nearly fifteen years ago but I need to make sure people realise I‘m an interlecshul an intellecshall smart and stuff.

Anyone else find it a bit weird that this random actor guy (who's at least 10 years older than Ruby, probably more) has messaged her since she was a teenager and basically asked her out on a date? Maybe it's me being super suspicious of older men but .... yikes.
