Ruby Ruby. Can't even write her name without fucking it up. Why would u go out of your way to show this one lol even though u signed 150 of them??

Plus she's signing every one that she prints, so why didn't she just leave a blank space for that? Instead, she printed her name/signature in the book, and now she's putting a written signature next to a printed signature. Just baffling incompetence in everything she does.

I think your case is different.
First of all she doesnt have a job that requires use of a tablet, let alone an ipad. Her degree or career path does not require use of a tablet, let alone an ipad.
She can easily manage her school and yt work via pen paper and her mac (or the sponsored lenovo laptop too i guess).
Her "need" of a new ipad is due to her being a priviledged, spoiled brat.

If she just said "I wanted to get this" and got it, then that would be okay. It's not like she bought every single version of iPad and called it a need lol But noooo she has to emphasize about how she got it second-hand (acting like she can't afford a new one), and moan about having to buy a pen for it, saying how it's just "another thing apple makes us buy". If you don't want to buy it, then don't. If you want to buy it, then buy it. Just don't be so fake about it. That's when it gets annoying. Acting like she's being forced to buy this really expensive but essential thing smh

This feels like (intentional or unintentional) love bombing. Her constant stream of flowery praise and adoration would make me very uncomfortable if I viewed Ruby as a friend but not THE best friend. Blakeney seems like she has a full on life in which Ruby has a part but to Ruby, Blakeney is the be all end all friend. It's almost like the goal is making the girl feel guilty for not responding to Ruby's approach in the same manner.

it’s clear she likes the organisation and planning side more than she likes to actually study. Maybe she should get into a professional organisation and planning career, she would be good at it. She could even organise other peoples studies, so they don’t have to spend all the time doing it themselves

Okay okay. We‘ve been talking about this a thousand times - I‘ve been responsible for at least half of them. But excuse me, I want to throw up.

Of course, nails grow, polish chips, life is much more than overly groomed nails. But for fuck sake, that’s disgusting. And I have a high tolerance in real life concerning what I consider to be inappropriate nail hygiene. But just cut of the long ass pieces of nail that your polish has chipped of anyway?!

Also: I’m also prone to overpacking and I love stationery, but why does she carry two pencilcases with nearly exactly the stuff in it?! Just combine them and use one for all the random stuff (chargers, pain medication) and one for actual stationery?

I was googling Ruby granger lockdown letters because she said she had them published right? So doesn’t that mean we (public) should be able to read them?? And I saw an article about how Emma Watson is starting Oxford in 2023 doing a creative writing masters and it mentioned Ruby.
I have questions.
Does Ruby know this?
Could this have influenced her decision or would it have been too late by then? The articles all seem to be written in May 2023.
Why hasn’t Ruby said anything about it?
Also which English course is Ruby taking? Would there be a chance of them being in the same class?

Ruby’s doing English literature (1550 - 1700) so nothing to do with creative writing at all. Plus I doubt Emma Watson will even be in Oxford much, the creative writing course is run by the department of continuing education, it’s more of a distance learning thing. It’s a 2 year long part time course. She will mostly study at home and come to Oxford a few weekends a year for seminars. Open Uni vibes. I suppose she could live in Oxford city for the course duration since she’s loaded but I doubt it - I assume she has other work and I dont think she will qualify for accommodation in the colleges either.

If there’s a chance of seeing Emma Watson in Oxford at the weekend maybe it’ll make Ruby think twice about running home to her parents every single week!

Actually now that I think about it, a masters in creative writing might have been a good choice for Ruby. Doing a well established MFA in creative writing has helped a lot of authors get their first book published.

I bet she won't even use it. I can see her turning up to seminars with parchment and a quill, because she will finally be at Hogwarts Oxford.

I get that ipads are useful for making 'NYYOTESSS' but she has a macbook she could use, plus the other ipad, plus that Remarkable digital notepad thing that she shills as being excellent to write notes on and can transfer the files over. So what gap is the bigger ipad filling, exactly? She's going to need to plug them all in every night to charge.

Surely most students get by ok with a laptop and maybe an ipad for handwriting notes.

I think she only got the new-to-her ipad because of the video, was it sponsored?

I found iPads are only really necessary for more science-based subjects, which include maths and diagrams which make it hard to type notes. For an English degree it is completely and utterly redundant for note-taking. It’s good for annotating PDFs but her old iPad *and* remarkable were both perfectly capable of that. It’s just consumeristic bs, just like when she got the iMac even though she could’ve achieved exactly the same setup with simply a monitor plugged into her MacBook.

The other thing iPads are useful for is entertainment (especially the pro as it has a really nice oled screen) but of course Ruby NAVVAR watches TV or movies

Still can't get over the whole "lessons learnt on holiday" thing. It's a holiday, I want to chill and enjoy myself, not use it as an academic exercise. But anyway, here are a few lessons I took away from my recent holiday:

1. Not having to set an alarm clock is really relaxing. Because, you know, I'm on holiday and I don't have to go to work.
2. Getting away from your normal, everyday life for a few days is lovely.
3. I love beaches (nothing new there)
4. Exploring new cities is fun.
5. Dutch pub food is great. (Yay, bitterballengarnituur!)
6. Aaaannd relax!

I don't see the problem with not wanting to learn how to drive, you don't need to drive to be an adult.

But then you need to live in an area which has the infrastructure for this. Ruby can’t live in her cottage because she can’t drive. The UK as a whole isn’t set up like this.

I shouldn't be surprised at the poor quality of work coming from the warehouse that PONKIN PODTIBTI use, but good lord, the state of this box. That flimsily slapped-on bit of thin tape is barely holding the thing together. No wonder half the planners either arrive damaged or don't arrive at all.

As you can tell by Ruby's VARRY JANUINE ACKSPRASSHION, she's HONNASTLEE excited to receive this year's academic planner, which...looks exactly like all the previous planners she never actually used.
