“We NEED to normalise going on rainy walks”…. What?
View attachment 2362614
Since when was going out in the rain not “normalized” for someone who lives in the UK? It literally rains for like half of the year lmao. Either you go out in it or you remain shut in your house all day.
I’ve not been on this thread for a while and haven’t caught up with her, but one look at her tiktok tells me that clearly she’s still an absolute melt lol
Roobs out here looking like the ghost of a fisherman lost in the Great Storm of 87

She absolutely does not need that iPad, especially not the pro version. It's just another device she can use for pointless busy work. Air dropping templates, pictures of notes (no wonder her pc gets so cluttered) and documents she'll never use from one device to another, Making notes on it that she can then copy to her NYOTION, Filling in templates, like that shopping list that she could've easily scribbled down on a pice of paper or used an app for like a normal person, etc, etc.
I also think she is just really struggling with all the stuff the needs to do and instead of sitting down and trying to work through it with the tools she already has, she buys all these shiny new thing in the hopes that they will magically fix all the problems she's having.

Ruby having two full pencil cases... I remember going to class with only a notepad, a folder and a pencil, as well as a voice recorder, all in my old eastpak I have since the start of highschool ( and still use today, almost 17 years after) . Maybe I was a bit too devil-may-care but damn girl, you're not in school anymore, no need for all of that. Her whole backpack stuff was already a bit ridiculous in school but in uni... The only "good point" is the second bag, way better.

I so badly want to read her ”gap yahh revyoo”. Please someone convince her to make a video on it.

Her goal for September is to do all the pre-reading 😂 Strap in for the ride!

She’s looking forward to ”living away from home” and wants to make time for formal dinners 🙃

She's added photos to the listing for her NAYCHAA JAAARRRNAL and it's all just hilariously crappy, self-indulgent, childish scribblings.

"There are multiple kinds of rain, and our language doesn't properly let un describe them, I don't think..."

Those pesky UN sanctions, keeping Ruby from being able to describe the weather.

"[There is] no word for that playful, waru rasu which green un, year on year. Come summer."

£8 plus postage for this.

"Woodpecker" - "I didn't see a woodpecker." I don't see one either, Ruby, since you've included a photo of your dog showing its butthole where a picture of a woodpecker should be. Ruby claims she didn't see a woodpecker, but heard one.

Since Ruby needed the internet's help to identify a sparrow - possibly the UK's most common bird - I don't trust her to be able to identify a woodpecker by sound. She likely just heard a random banging near the house again and thought, "Ahh, yass! 'Tis the HOMBLE WOODPACKER, cyome to visit me wonce mwoar!" Meanwhile her mother's lying in a crumpled heap at the bottom of the stairs again trying to bang out a call for help in Morse code.

You know this project is worth charging money for when the height of insight, whimsy and wonder that can be found in Ruby's nature journal is her noting the things she didn't see. I expect you'll turn to page 6 to find an entry labelled 'Sumatran Rhinoceros'. Ruby didn't see one of those, either, but she heard her neighbour sneeze, so please enjoy a photo of a Remedy Kombucha can.
The random ”people are dying” in the corner of the second screenshot 😂😂😂

Their house is at the dirtier end of the spectrum for what it is (upper middle class, rural heritage property), but I’d say it’s still within the normal range when it comes to the basic fabric of the house. Speaking as someone who’s been in a lot of houses like this, they’re just not normally kept clean to the standard of a new-build or a city property.

But, I still think their household habits are gross when it comes to things like washing up (ugh) and Rubert never changing her sheets. There is an aura of poor hygiene and laziness in how they take care of things that goes beyond the house itself.

Looking at her videos from the past year and it suddenly becomes clear why she's chosen to recycle this video in particular.

Her videos generally get 40-100k views. Over the past 9 months, there's 3 videos that did significantly better:

Her Oxford acceptance announcement. (381k views)
Her work routine. (298k views)
Her 'things to do by yourself as an introvert' video. (217k views)

She can't do the Oxford announcement again and she can't do another work routine since she doesn't work anymore, so she just lazily rehashed the next most popular video.

The concept of 'diminishing returns' is completely lost on her, and she doesn't seem to understand that her most popular videos attracted more viewers because they either:

a. Appeared (at a glance, at least) to offer something new for her or some major life update.
b. Got pushed out to more people by the YouTube algorithm for reasons unknown, so there's no way to replicate the success.

Instead of learn from that and put effort into creating original content, she always just tries to recycle the same videos and expects the same results.

Her Depop prices infuriate me. The things she sells are not worth more than £10, max. Even if you bought them for £25, the actual value is probably like £12 so when you're selling it used it will be lessthan that. Most secondhand things deplete in value. Not to mention, she doesn't need the money so she doesn't need to be charging nearly £20 for two shitty Harry Potter t-shirts.

Is that the floor of her KITCHEN that she robot-hoovered? God that's nasty. Couple that with bare feet outside trailed inside, sheets just on the floor with god-knows-how-much piles of dust under the bed, grimy fingerprints all over screens, disgusting mugs and dishes that are haphazardly washed, a wooden table that's lost its protective coating and has coffee splashed over it every day, clothes with stains, etc etc.

I understand if someone doesn't have time to clean, but she has all the time in the world to do busywork. Why does she never put "clean" in her to-do lists? Living in that much filth, she probably smells like body sweat, musky clothes, and dirty house.

She completely lost me when she said to wear a long dress while walking around outside, reading a book. I'm not into dressing up like a child playing house, so that was the end of that video for me, and a thumbs down for her and her foolishness.

I think she will definitely go. When you start at Oxford, you “matriculate” - this means becoming a member of the university. Once you’re a member, you stay a member even after you finish the degree. I don’t think she would pass that up for anything.

ETA - you also have to wear academic dress for matriculation.

Really annoyed me that she was so in love with the new iPad and it became her favourite thing when she already has an iPad 9th gen which does exactly the same thing except doesn’t have the home button. And she also has a MacBook and an iMac.

But what do you do, Ruby? Because you keep saying "we" an awful lot for things you have no involvement in.

Also "the lovely team at the warehouse" - the same people who Ruby keeps blaming for everything that goes wrong with the business.

No period sanitary products. I wonder if she is either too malnourished to have a period OR because she lives in her 12 year old world she is too embarrassed to admit/show that she has periods. Those small bags are the perfect place to keep spare tampons/pads/whatever you use!

also a leather bag? Isn’t she a vegan ??

I’ve looked at her course specifications and her Nyotion list for pre-reading is not even half of all the ”essential reading” listed. Then there’s also ”recommended” and ”further” reading, but fuck all that I guess. In her tiny little mind, you read one book per week max, and maybe a couple of academic articles, and then you just bluff your way through a seminar with a little help from SparkNotes.

Also she’s saying she plans to do all her pre-reading in September, but she’s also fucking off to Scotland again next week, so who knows if she’ll ever get around to any of it.

"...perfected over many years."

Ruby acting like she's Mr. Kipling all of a sudden and has been toiling away in the kitchen for years, carefully honing a selection of culinary masterpieces, as opposed to getting ChatGPT and Google to do her work for her.

There's no cooking instructions there. It's just a list of ingredients.
why is it called cupcakes when there are no cupcakes on the photo?

Whoops, Ruby wasn't paying attention when Googling "quotes about siblings" and accidentally reveals she didn't actually read the thing she claims she read, for the 42,948,567th time.

I'm also dying at Ruby's weirdly clinical and ambiguous birthday message to her sister; note that Ruby doesn't actually says anything positive about her sister or their relationship anywhere in this post.
It's kinda messed up because if you look at Martha's page, Martha made a thoughtful post for Ruby's bday. There's also many posts of the two of them together. It's possible that Martha doesn't want to be featured on Ruby's page, but idk I'm getting the impression Ruby doesn't care much for Martha
