Why is she wearing a tie in and cardigan that give off major school uniform vibes in her recent video?! Knowing her, she quit her teaching job because she realised she couldn't just go back to being a student at her old school... so she now play pretends at home :')

I found this job posting from 30+ days ago (the submission deadline was January 4, 2023). It's the only recent job posting I've seen for the school. I wonder if this is what she was hired for. It's part time, a temporary contract, etc. I'm definitely not sure, however. Ruby is only listed as "English" and it's really vague what she does and how her schedule is so short and flexible.



Also a zero hours contract means that she's not required to be there or get hours if they don't have any for the employee to work.

Tbf she got the desk on Facebook marketplace, I doubt it cost that much. Plus she lives less than an hour from Oxford by train so if she got in I assume she’ll be back almost every weekend (tbh she might even commute if she’s allowed to)

I don't necessarily think she saw a job posting and went through the hiring process- she's a nepotism hire and she probably asked for work/they offered her work and basically made up a job for her lol. Just gave her something to do, like when a small child asks to help with something so you give them an unimportant task so they feel important and responsible. It's not something you needed done and may even make your work harder but you do it for the kid. That's Ruby, everyone in her life treating her with kid gloves, but nobody with any sense would give her an important job that needed to be done properly

It's says so much about Ruby that when she 'wants' to learn something she only goes to books. There are so many incredible teachers of Latin out there and she just ignores them. An one-on-one course would give her that bit of socializing she is missing and she could even be friends with the teacher (though for Ruby friendship is about stalking, so better not...). Even video courses would be much more useful than just making flashcards.

Also, don't you have to put a coat of varnish in top of the paint? If she only used paint the cleaning supplies would end ruining the paint, isn't? Not like Ruby will clean it within the next decade, anyway .

As an Oxbridge graduate, I genuinely don't know how she'll survive a masters there. The course load is intense and the 8 week terms make it hard to run back home every weekend. I even had some supervisions on Saturday mornings. Also she won't be able to do all her busy work because she will have so much reading to do every week.. and she will actually have to read the books for her supervisions and seminars. She should really reflect on whether she feels ready to deal with the stress and workload before she commits (if she got in) or she would get very overwhelmed and probably intermit after Michaelmas. Intermission is a good thing but Oxbridge (or at least Cambridge) are very bad at offering support and just tell you to get away for a year and come back ready to get back into it... idk I am just worried. I have seen people who are much more resilient really struggle and it took a big toll on their mental health and as much as she is annoying, I wouldn't wish the same on her.

When I was in uni certain professors told us NOT to use books except for the assigned or approved books because research is constantly changing and you don't know how up-to-date certain information and data is. Though I suppose it doesn't matter for her now because she's not seriously learning, she's essentially playing school with her stuffed animals in her bedroom, and she can put Dr Suess books in her bibliography as she pleases

I think she conveniently left out a bunch of footage (because her dad likely did 98% of the work off-screen and Ruby just put a bit of paint on for the camera while being coached by Daddy Bones). She's putting on basic primer in the garage, then the desk worktop is magically painted with a coat or two of gloss paint when it's in her room.

I think gloss paint should hold up fine without varnish/sealer unless she's going at it with industrial cleaner and a scourer. Considering she never cleans her desk anyway, it should be okay with her usual 'lazily dab at a small section with a damp cloth every six months for a video' cleaning technique.

She'll 100% have that white desk covered in wax, ink and dead flies within a month or two though.



I'm more confused why she's rushed to shove her desk in while leaving holes in the wall everywhere where the old desk came out.

And she says she (or daddy) won't be painting the inside of the drawers because you won't see them, which is fine, but then the rest of the main body of the desk has been given just the most patchy, half-assed layer of primer and that's it. It looks like crap.

It isn't really much bigger than her old desktop either, and she has so much less leg room now that even her baby-sized school chair only just fits. The whole setup looks so uncomfortable.

Given how she’s claimed every part of that house as her own, I don't know why she didn't just tidy up their landfill of a library and put an adult-sized desk and comfortable grownup office chair in there so she's not 3 inches away from her screen and wrecking her spine. She could use the library as a filming space and office. She's often rambling about little space she has in her room and her fake need to separate her WAAAHRK space to help with SLYEEP HOYGENE, so why not just put an office in there?

I'm glad this video wasn't yet another routine or staged reading vlog, but it still seems incredibly fake in so many ways.

The way she keeps dropping the mask and losing her fake accent when talking directly to her mum just shines a light on how performative everything she does is.

And she can't help but cram in another forced, undeclared ad for Punky Fraternity products which she never uses and an endless ramble to mummy about how she NAVVER wants to encourage HOSSTLE COLCHA even though that's all she does.

Erimentha Parker Chapter 15:

Plot -

- We join Ruby in church where they are learning to forgive their enemies and not be bitter
- Now we are at Kimberley's family BBQ. The mum tells Ruby and Nathan to go play with the other kids in the front room
- Ruby tells Kimberly off for wearing shoes in her own house
- They go to Kimberly's room which unsurprisingly according to Ruby is very messy. There is clothes and makeup everywhere. Kimberly minds her own business and goes to apply some lipstick. Ruby decides to butt in and say most lipsticks are made from whale blubber ( a quick google search proves this to not be the case anymore and hasn't been for a long time)
- Kimberly tells her not to tell them facts in her house, and then draws on Ruby's face with the lipstick. Beth then takes a photo of her. They say it is for Instagram and Ruby goes on another fact rant saying she hasn't consented to the photo to be shared, and that the girls aren't old enough for Instagram anyways so they are breaking the law twice. One of the other bullies filmed Ruby's rant
- Ruby asks if they can turn the other cheek and be friends
- Kimberly asks Ruby to sit down at the dressing table and Beth covers her eyes. The girls then cut off a chunk of her hair. They joke that they needed the hair for a voodoo doll and Ruby leaves the room to go find Nathan.

Quotes -

- "I've always kept my hair exactly the same length all of the way around and this loss of order makes me feel sick"
