I think it's a speech-to-text add-in thing she's using. She uses it fairly often for reels and it's always wrong in some way and she never checks or takes a second shot at it. If human beings can't tell what the duck she's saying half the time, it's no shock that a computer AI has no clue.
Think you’re out of a job mate. Instagram is coming up with its own variations of “Pumpkin Productivity”, you need to step up 💪

How do you guys find time to read? Seriously, i wake up at 5, study German, because i want to move there next year. Get ready for work, go to work, come back, eat dinner, shower, text my boyfriend and then im exhausted and just go to sleep by 9pm. Either there arent enough hours in a day or i dont have enough energy. Im supposed to start working out next month, i dont know how i'll manage.
Have you considered reading books in German?
Depending on your level, you could try some children's books or middle grade, or if you don't fancy that, get a book that's been translated into German that you've already read in your native language.
If you still own the original, (or can get it from the library) even better. It will save you getting out the dictionary all the damn time. And also for when sometimes there just isn't a direct translation for a phrase and you sit there looking up each word individually and none of it makes sense!

It's a win-win. Not only will you get to enjoy reading books again, but it will help your language learning so much!

I do this all the time and it is really rewarding, I've learned a ton on expressions and also gained a new perspective on a beloved text that I've read in a different language. It will feel like you're going at a snail's pace in the beginning, but soon you hardly notice you're reading in a different language.

I recommend making it easy for yourself - leave a book beside your bed, read short stories (if the book has seven stories and you read one a day you'll be done in a week and that sense of accomplishment might encourage you to read more!) and vary what you read - I have non fiction, fiction and poetry on the go at the same time. I love reading on my kindle at night because I can lie on my side and don't have to have my glasses on. Bring a book everywhere with you - sometimes you find there are dead moments in the day you could be reading - waiting at the doctor/dentist, on the train, in the queue for the post office. You could also try audiobooks - I find memoirs read by the author to be great ones. Louis Theroux and Mara Wilson read their books really well. You could also try taking books out the library which might give you a time limit to read them and get you into the habit?

But it's also worth remembering not to put too much pressure on yourself! I read a lot as I'm not into TV but you don't have to choose one or the other! There have been times in my life - doing my masters degree, bad mental health, a very stressful job where I often did 12 hour shifts - where I've not read a lot. I read a lot now that I have a 9-5 job but even then I don't read for hours a day, usually just 30 pages in the morning or something unless it's a really good book!

I mean I’d literally rather support a bunker. They may be inanimate, they may be underground, they may be damp and smelly, but they’re still doing more for humanity that Rootabaga ever will.
Build a bunker in an underfunded state school?

I've just trademarked 'Bunker Bread Activity', so I'll be contacting my lawyers swiftly to serve Rubert with a cease and desist for copyright infringement.

Okay but whattttt is it with that giveaway? The TEACHER of a class has to E-Mail her their favourite study tip (because teachers obviously have time for this…) and then you get to hand out those tit quality things to your class to possibly be bullied for it? Way to go Rubee!!

Unless I'm misunderstanding this, it also assumes she has a significant following of teachers. Otherwise how would they know about the giveaway in the first place? I'd always thought Ruby's content was more geared towards students than teachers, so I'd be surprised if that many teachers were keeping track of her social media.

She has genuinely never interacted with a teenage boy in her life, has she? (Or any teenage girl who didn’t go to a posh private school?)

She's so out of touch with reality that she probably believes she has a universal following with university professors and qualified teachers watching all her content, or that all the gullible kids who follow her will pester their teachers to waste their time giving Ruby teaching tips for the chance to win 30 pieces of trash (that they'll never receive).

One look at the comments of her latest TikTok should tell her that neither of those things are true. It's just tonnes of people roasting her outfit and tagging their friends to compare her unfavourably to their own poorly-dressed, out-of-touch teachers or weird people they know. That should also tell her that working in a classroom environment is going to be hell for her, if it isn't already.

Fantastic. Congrats

Written planners in professional roles seems a bit last decade. I think a lot of people now use electronic diaries and planners as these are more easily shared. In fact in my last job I had no choice but to do everything electronically. The main reasons for this was for confidentiality and auditing purposes.

When I first started at my job some months ago, I had a planner. But now I'm doing everything on outlook or one note.

I was just looking back through her Instagram as I don't think I ever properly "followed" her and was curious. I feel like she was previously way more genuine about her interests/her style was actually nice a lot of the time. She still wore the weird hats and Miss Patina stuff but at least she actually put items together properly rather than always cosplaying as a schoolgirl.

Also, I came across a post from her 21st birthday, which made me laugh, where she claims someone had recently asked her if she was under 12. I don't believe this for a minute as the youngest she could pass for at that time is maybe 17/18 at a push. In the same post she also talks about finding it difficult to get older so it was an obvious cry of "oh I'm 21 but I look SO young - like a child!!". I feel like we still see a lot of this in her current content.

There was also a time where she looks physically healthier. Her weight seems to have pretty much stayed the same apart from losing some fullness in her face in about 2021 (totally normal at that age). But her body previously looked more toned/strong and she just seemed to have more energy. Filming herself running and dancing around... whereas now she claims to go on runs but never shows us any evidence of it.

Also her "food" highlight has pretty much always showed some kind of ED baiting. Very similar to Holly Gabrielle at the time with "aesthetic" meals with not much substance. And doing things like eating pasta with chopsticks.

I feel like she's almost cosplayed at having an ED which is an issue in itself. Trying not to speculate/diagnose her but it just seems so bait (even now!).

i remember when i used to follow her when i was in year 11. i’m a year younger and below her school wise, i used to be so jealous of how she would study allll the time (i still can’t focus on any uni work for more than 2 hours, if anyone has any tips that would be helpful!!) , and one of my friends was exactly like her, studying non-stop, bizarre routines like ruby, and i just found it so toxic. (she would even try to make her bedroom and clothing style similar to ruby’s). she used to make me and few other of our friends feel bad if we didn’t study all day, e.g drop snarky comments etc.

I had a friend like that too - she ended up having a meltdown when I got a better grade than her in a mock exam that I didn’t study for and she did. It was a total fluke, and I just didn’t take mocks seriously so I didn’t really care, but she was FURIOUS with me like I’d done it on purpose. Thinking on it, it was hardly surprising because she studied herself sick to the point of it being counterintuitive. I could imagine Ruby being like that towards anybody who does better than her in a class tbh - but in a very snidey passive aggressive way.

She has been doing this a lot lately. Asking for advice because she apparently can't think for herself. I mean, she is on Good Reads where there are millions of suggestions. She has graduated with a degree in English Lit. Can she not even manage to pick out a book for herself to read next? I know we all ask or look for recommendations, but she seems to be doing it all the time now. Do you know this? Can you suggest that? It just shows how incredibly isolated she is with her peers how much harder it will be if she does enter a Masters Program. This hasn't exactly been the most fruitful year in her life.
