I wonder if she did any preparation for this event or not. I'd suspect not, since her performance is little more than a live-action version of the same meaningless monologues in her videos. If she did prepare, and this is what she came up with, that's kinda worse TBH. One way or the other, this was just a catastrophic fail.
Well, she marked the Gen Z book as read on Jan 16th and the talk was on Jan 25th so she had at least 9 days to prepare. I wouldn't call it a last minute booking. 😬

I do think it's a bit funny how they all have a seat at the table and Ruby's awkwardly stuck on the far left end like an afterthought

I hope the video is re-uploaded soon!
Can the people who posted it see that it got views and was reposted on Tattle (sorry I am technically illiterate!)?

Just wondered if it got taken down because it got criticism on here! 😂

I want to say you can see in YouTube's analytics which sites are linking to your video (or at least that used to be the case) but I don't think it's a full URL link, just the overall website. So whoever runs the college YouTube channels could see that they were getting traffic from Tattle.life, but that's about it. It wouldn't take much detective work to find out from there which page the video was embedded on, though, given the lone influencer on the panel.

I doubt they'd check or care though, I think it's more than likely the sound issues since the whole thing was pretty much unwatchable aside from the first couple of minutes due to the overlapping audio.

Yeah the overlapping audio was kinda brutal. At first I thought it was the Panel members trying to stop Ruby talking lol

i wonder why she's introduced as youtuber and entrepeneur, and not by her academic achievements like the other participants
most of them were related to religion and theology studies, so i guess they choose her because she took one year of philosophy and theology and despite she never finished that undergraduate, they thought she would fit in -which she didn't-, but her education is never mentioned in the panel, unlike the other members
also most of them seem to be related to king's college london somehow, why did they choose ruby then? it's just very weird

Also why not choose someone who finished their Philosophy/Theology degree instead?
I think her management might have pushed for this.

Ruby probably saw an advertisement of this panel and told them it was I good idea for her to join. Like she did with that talk at her (old) school.

Kinda wish I did miss this car wreck of a speech though

I remember she gave an online talk at AXA-tar in her first (?) year of uni. She showed herself preparing, and then admitted afterwards that it went awfully. At least back then she was honest about things that went better for her, and those that went worse. I wonder how she reflects on her London talk now.

Thanks to this thread I always hear "AXATAR" in my head when I see the word "Exeter".

It's Holocaust Memorial Day and Ruby hasn't (yet) made any posts about it, tried to scam money from charities, made the Holocaust all about herself or turned it into an excuse for undeclared ads for unrelated sponsors! Has she...(gasp)...learned a lesson?

I mean, she's still not properly addressed all her previous bull or proven she returned any of the charity money she took, and that school memorial excuse that she was JANUINELY going to be self-funding after graduation vanished immediately. But between this and skipping the last Anti-Bullying Week (her other outlet for charity scams and audacious lies) I guess at least she's learned not to go back to the well!

I doubt she was a very last-minute addition to the panel as she got the book in the autumn, she showed it in her ”Gilmore inspired” vlog. Maybe this is just another desperate attempt at rebranding - Sixteenth are trying like hell to get some kind of progress happening before she stagnates beyond repair.

in her most recent tiktok she says "I'm buzzing about today" and my only conclusions are
1) someone said it in a book and Ruby assumed it was a highly academic word and has now adopted it.
2) She's soft launching her new Northern era

Yeah, KGL announced the line-up as early as Jan 10th, too.

Ruby had plenty of time to properly prepare or consider how ill-suited she was and the panel organisers had plenty of time to research who she is and find a better candidate, so it's a failure on all fronts really.

If Ruby has any self-awareness, she'd realise that public speaking isn't her strong suit and would stick to pre-recorded appearances that can be rehearsed and heavily edited. She's clearly aware on some level that she's terrible in situations that require on-the-spot thinking and off-the-cuff responses - it's why she abandoned the book club after being hopelessly outmatched in Zoom discussions. Putting her in a room with intelligent adults will always be disastrous for her 'Oiy'm a genius!' image, and if she doesn't realise it, Sixteenth certainly should.

They should really advise her to ditch the Granger name as fast as possible, too; if her performance on the panel weren't embarrassing enough, her showing up to speak next to career academics with impressive CVs while she's sporting a fake surname stolen from a fictional 11-year-old and a faked list of career accomplishments is just cringe overload.

So, this week Ruby has brought 4 books and took 3 out of the Library I mean I'm sure I remember her saying that she wasn't going to buy as many books but she is still buying books or borrowing them from the library when she probably doesn't even need them.

”I love sealing my letters like this” Like what? By making an unholy mess of a candle (NB not a ”candlestick”!) in the last two minutes of its sad, sad life on your windowsill, together with all the wasted potential of several unlit matches that never got to go out in a literal blaze of glory but are instead being forced to eke out an indeterminate shadow of an existence in ignominy, before you finally manage to clean up your desk, perhaps on the day of your biennial sheets-changing?

It's the Jack Edwards book-hoarding ploy: She doesn't actually read books, but wants to be seen as a bookworm, so she can't stop buying them because she needs to use them as props for her videos to include lots of shots of her flicking through them randomly to "prove" she reads 5,496 books a week.
