The fake freckles thing is utterly bizarre, her skin is flawless, why tf would you draw on freckles?!

Thats the problem. The freckle thing and especially the failure to admit that she doesn't really have them...it shows how desperate she is to remain a child. To me, its an indication of the state of her mental well-being. I don't want to be mean but I do think that intake personnel at Oxford have considered her mental health when looking at her application. Not because they are discriminating against people with mental health struggles but because they don't want students to have their mental health worsened by the very demanding teaching style of their institution.
I said this yesterday actually. She has quite lovely skin. Why fake freckles? I guess some people think its cute. Shrug.
I’ve been trying to figure out why the freckle thing annoys me so much and I think it really is because it’s just a microcosm of her whole thing - she thinks everybody else is an idiot, and that we’ll believe anything she tells us even if it’s glaringly untrue so long as she slaps an innocent enough “whoops, didn’t mean to!” onto it.
Next somebody will call her out on it obviously enough that she can’t just ignore it, and it’ll be “well actually when I said that my freckles are genuine I meant that I GENUINELY draw them on my face every morning, so you misunderstood and I was right all along! x”

Just spent an embarrassing amount of time rubbing my computer screen because the first image made me think there was dirt on my screen
OT but I just saw that Holly Gabrielle's last video is about how glad she is that she gained weight and overcame her ED. Let's hope Ruby will watch it
Holly is anything but recovered. she makes the same video every year. my guess is she has orthorexia and an exercise addiction. so technically 'recovered' from anorexia from her point of view.
Ok I didn't know that, I barely know her, I only knew of her connection with Ruby. She lists very good reasons for gaining weight though and explains how a healthy mindset looks like (whether she has it or not, I think it can still be helpful for other people struggling with EDs).
Holly has a background in dance, doesn't she? Combine that with a high potential for orthorexia and the knock-on exercise addiction, even the most self-aware individuals with an ED will find it hard to fully recover. Just checked in on Holly's vid and I have to agree with you that she isn't recovered. I'm no medical expert but I did dance (ballet, then into latin/ballroom) from age 3-19 and it took me such a long time to recover from my ED. I got pregnant in the early stages of my recovery and I feel it is what helped me into full recovery. But I notice those who do calorie restriction, body checks, false claims of recovery. Holly is one of those. I also notice Ruby did a bit of a body check with her tights or leggings or whatever recently. However I feel about those two girls, I really do hope they can properly recover.
Not sure if anyone here watches Bernadette Banner on YT but her body checks are wild. I worry for people out there prone to ED when content creators are doing this
Looking at this again, why is she always 12 years old whenever she tells these pointless, rambling stories about how gifted she want people to think she is?

I noticed that too. She is so fixated on that age. And she's wrong about the superstitions of Fri 13th being Christian. Christians have historically tended to see superstitions as the way of the pagans.
But the age 12 thing. Ive heard her say she's had a certain item 'since i was 12 years old' sooo many times.
People like Ruby make me wonder if I've been underestimating my ability to get into an Ivy League for my masters or PhD. I've always felt like a fraud or that I'm not good enough even though I've always done well academically. Maybe sometimes you just have to be delusional enough to believe that you can make it. Lol. However, I wonder how much of that delusion comes from living comfortably and just being able to pursue your goals freely without the fear of being broke or paying back loans for the rest of your life.

It's not really the flu (just like hers), just a fever and a headache. I do feel closer to our productivity kween right now.
It couldn't have happened at a worse time. I have an exam in a week, I'm starting a new job the day after that, and yesterday I lost my wallet with all of my id cards, license etc. so in the next few days I also need to travel back to my hometown and get them all re-issuedthankfully I just had about 30€ in it and my bank cards which I blocked immediately. My birth control prescription was in there too so I can't refill it
But I guess I'm lucky I don't have to complete an online test today right?
Update that no one asked for: I'm still sick but somebody found my wallet and I got it back, with the money in it too!
The faux freckles give her an even more youthful appearance which all adds to her aesthetic and uncomfortable desire to be perceived as a 14yo.
I naturally have freckles and you can’t even see them right now apart from on my arms (which Ruby conveniently seems to have freckles ONLY on her nose
) obviously because it’s winter yet Ruby’s are ever so magically pronounced lol. As someone else said, it’s more annoying she draws them on and tries to convince her viewers that they are real instead of just admitting to drawing them on, does she genuinely think all her viewers are that stupid?
I mean the recent makeup tutorial and drawing on the freckles beforehand was just ridiculous. She lives in a fantasy world. I honestly hope wherever she goes for her masters that she quickly realises that she is not the smartest person in her course and needs a reality check that she is simply not that intelligent.

Not sure if anyone posted this yet so sorry if they did BUT I did some digging around this new teaching job she has and sure enough she is listed as a member of Academic Staff on her old secondary schools website!
This is absolute a joke. The order of staff is alphabetical but seeing her name under the title of Academic Staff makes my blood boil. I guess you can do anything kids as long as your mummy and daddy have enough money to send you to a private school and you play the role of annoying teachers pet during and after your schooling ends. UGH it's just so irritating because she has no teacher training/experience and yet here she is employed at a private school probably acting like a pompous know it all. I HOPE her students find this thread.

Real definition of it’s not what you know, it’s who you know. Ruby has no place in a teaching environment imo.
It is kinda weird that there are other people listed as "Assistants" while Ruby is only listed as "English" like she's a regular teacher.
If she thinks being a good student means you're automatically a good teacher, she's in for a surprise. Does she even know how to make a lesson plan? Classroom management? First aid, mental health awareness? What about supporting students with learning needs? Explaining something in different words/ using a variety of resources? Does she even know what UDL is? What about students who have English as their second language? Students with dyslexia? An once of humility (what if someone asks her what "brine" is lmao)? Does she have an adaptable personality? Is she personable and fun?
She's none of these things. She's not a teacher- she's a disaster. And she's doing a disservice to her students who are gonna think English lit is some boring, stuffy subject that has no relation to the real world and reading is a lame hobby reserved for pretentious people like her.
