lol she premiered her Vesuvius video but didn’t bother putting out an advance notification so she had like 100 viewers

she’s reading Ammily Dickinson pretentiously, someone’s boots crunching on the gravel mercifully destroy the audio, and the ”education” she blesses us with is half about Ammily’s use of punctuation, half about the fact that there are apparently two main types of volcanoes. (Google tells me there are three, but hey, what does Google know)

I was all set to cringe at yet another mispronunciation of Sufjan’s holy name, seeing as ”Vesuvius” is actually a masterpiece and he says his name in it, but either Roobee has never ventured beyond Carrie and Lowell, or the ”murdering ghost that you cannot ignore” was too much for her delicate sensibilities. I shall count my blessings.

NOOOO I was not ready to hear her butcher the opening lines of my favourite book oh Daphne Du MAURICE must be rolling in her grave!!
Why is she dramatically touching a weird looking bottle of industrial whip cream/ a mini fire extinguisher?? Is it a nod to the burning house or is she just stupid?

Noo. Quick, what will repel the Rubadook? With vampires it's garlic and sunlight. I'm thinking high-caffeine coffee and the threat of losing exam marks. Or maybe just hide her tea and she'll wither away?

Long time lurker here! English isn’t my first language

So apparently Rubella is a geologist/geographer now? I’m having flashbacks to the time she said she LOOOVED astrophysics. I can’t believe she actually included a whole segment about how volcanoes work?? I’m starting geography at uni this fall and I cringed so bad. Roobee, there are actually way more volcano types and they can be divided by so many different criteria, the two types mentioned in the video are pretty much the tip of the iceberg, I can’t even remember them all lol.

I have to say, one of the most annoying things about her for me is how she’s always trying so hard too seem like she just knows absolutely everything. I just wonder if she does this out of insecurity or does she genuinely think that reading about volcanoes as a kid makes her an expert on the topic.

See if she wore that dress minus the ill-fitting heels and hat it would be fine. Why's she always trying to beret every outfit? Stop trying to make berets happen, Ruby! Sometimes they don't match.

Hi, welcome to the thread.

I'm thinking someone else owned this childhood classic. As an adult, any volcano facts I still remember come from this book.

I really have discovered something at last.

Through watching so much at night, when it changes so, I have finally found out.

The front pattern does move—and no wonder! The woman behind shakes it!

Sometimes I think there are a great many women behind, and sometimes only one, and she crawls around fast, and her crawling shakes it all over.

Then in the very bright spots she keeps still, and in the very shady spots she just takes hold of the bars and shakes them hard.

And she is all the time trying to climb through. But nobody could climb through that pattern—it strangles so; I think that is why it has so many heads.

They get through...

Even if this is the rare occasion where you're telling the truth, you've lied so much about every little thing and shoved so many undeclared ads into every piece of content that nobody will ever believe you again.

Ironically, that book cover picture looks worryingly close to Ruby's recent outfits as well.

Didn't Erimentha also do a school project about volcanoes or something? Was that autobiographical? Or am I just misremembering that as I slowly but surely lose my remaining sanity due to daily exposure to Ruby's content?

ETA: And by the way, what happened to Ruby's other big educational project? The one where she's going to erect Holocaust monuments all over the country to educate the underfunded state school kids about the importance of using Notion? Or what was that again

I love flying, but no way would I get on a plane that flies like a kite!!!

She might have been wearing contact lenses, in which case wearing goggles is recommended (at least by my optician! )
