Her borderline ASMR whispering is terrifying. Not to mention unnecessary because a bookshop isn't a library

She obviously doesn't spend that long in a bookshop if she thought that the books were new. I mean when I look in Bookshops which is only once or twice a week I take my time to browse all of the books in order to find the ones that I am looking for, but it sounds like Ruby only spends a few minutes in one before she leaves or she doesn't look for the books that she wants.

It's because she's JOST SYO KOIND. Or maybe he's a family friend rather than just her teacher. It's embarrassing at 22 if she is just barraging her old English teachers with reminders of her though.

Not to mention that ok, maybe she didn’t disturb other customers but she would have looked hella weird to whoever was watching the security cameras …

I imagine the staff at these bookshops must be used to her bullshit by now, since she always goes to the same ones.
*New staff member* "umm so there's a woman dressed in children's clothes twirling about and whispering to herself in one of the rows... should we be worried or...?
*Older staff* "oh that's Ruby she's a bit unhinged. She likes to come in and touch all the books. Here take this cloth and wipe them after she leaves."

They know she's called Ruby because they hear her go "hello its roobee" on a regular basis

I own the Salman Rushdie one and that came out in 2017. There are probably newer ones but the series is at least 5 years old. Of course not everyone knows every book, but not very on brand for her.

It's the assumption that because SHE hasn't seen them, they must be new. Also lowkey outing herself as a fiend for covers rather than content.

did she post the fb poll she promised she'd post after returning from Italy?
lol no, a mod posted one just now
eta: sorry, not a poll but a post asking for suggestions for book of the month for July

TW: Ed

3 strawberries?? No further comment.
Angery face at Roobee’s bs, not your post per se.

Run, don’t walk! WROITER ROOBEE has finished her book:

Much as we suspected, Lottie is a fucking saint.

Wow I can’t believe she included a part about her celebrating the jubiliee, it was only a could of weeks ago but it literally feels like a fever dream the way people were acting lmao.

Or she didn’t learn to read until she was 6? Not very precocious of her, but perfectly normal.

Her wording fitting into shorts she bought at 13 as a tip for saving money / building a wardrobe now I’ll be honest I was one of those teenagers to young adults who didn’t change build or shape wise drastically so my clothes size stayed relatively stable meaning I could fit into most things for at least a few years even longer, but even then I would certainly not try / expect to fit into anything then that I bought at 13! what i also have an issue with is how blah she is when she says it as if “oh why yes of course it’s perfectly normal and everyone should still fit into the same shorts they bought at 13 years old”

I wouldn't get one leg in a pair of shorts I brought when I was 13
