Oh Christ above. Kerri Ann.
I remember her being Louis’s Samantha Mumba solo prototype. For about 18 months, that picture was stuck in the window of EMI (?) offices on Aungier Street/Wexford Street. Then Louis (and Cowell?)decided the time was right to launch this “16” year old popstrel on us. Even though her own interviews had her as 16 for a lor longer than 12 months.
The song was, forgettable, but the music video - seen once and once only- was a sight to behold. Think Timmy Mallett’s Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny video with more pouting, anda principal performer with far less rhythm and grace.

And she was never heard from again.

EDIT
apparently was another single)I was not the market). Please note the age of consent in Ireland at the time was 17, which they were pretending this girl was
it must have been 10 years ago since I tried looking for this rit on YT or Dailymotion.

I vaguely remember this! I must have been around 14 and thought it was mit even then! It’s hilarious that this was ever made, it’s almost a parody. Wooden performance, zero energy for an upbeat (albeit terrible) song, looks like she’s being held hostage and dressed in Dorothy Perkins sale 🤣

after all, Boyzone's first No 1 was mainly bought by Louis and the late John Reynolds. As in, going from record store to record store buying the singles. Legend has it that the lads were getting a but too giddy with excitement and Louis blasts them for “throwing shapes”. He them shouts “there’s your No 1”, opens the boot and bleeping the CDs out of it!
Typical Louis stunt, his other stunt was organising a in store signing by the artist.
For the pleasure of the artist arriving the shop had to buy X amounts of the singles for the artist to sign. These were then supposed to be sold on to the customers coming in for the signing to recoup the shops costs.
He did it in a lot of small enough branches, none of then would have ever sold that amount of singles.
They ofc didn't and that's why there was piles of Kerri Anne/Carter twin/early Boyzone singles sitting in back rooms of local Irish record shops.
So they got to a high position in the charts, but not by fan demand 😂😂😂

I hadn’t heard that one, but it sounds right.

He can be such an odious little wick. I have a memory of him being on the Late Late with Tommy Tiernan as guests. However the conversation went presumably about taste in music, Louis makes a snide remark about The Saw Doctors, to which Tommy replies “Yes; they’re the voice of the West!”. Louis, who is from Mayo, and with a seemingly unending The Osmonds collection, had the nerve to smirk.

The musical impresario who thought calling The Carter Twins “Brother2Brother” (🤢) branding them as edgy in PVC leather jackets… and then pitching them up on stools to sing a ballad like latter-day Val Doonican, is criticising bands that can get a daytime festival crowd going like no other? G’way to duck!!

sorry for the Louis loathing, but he inflicted Ronan’s weird Ssshhhhhes on us and must pay for his crimes!!! 😂

Remember when poor Stephen was trotted out as a boyfriend for Louis other act. Louis is such a bleep.
Isn't his partner from a pop group too?
Omg 🤣 I am so ashamed to say I queued up in Virgin megastore in the square to get her to sign my cd and get a photo hahahahaha

I was a kid in the 90s and grew up on boyzone and westlife but haven't kept up with them much since then, watched the documentary and I find Ronan to be so unlikeable, he comes off worse in it than louis does.

He just makes everything all about him. Even when talking about Stephens death I feel like he was almost fake crying and everything just comes across as insincere and overperformative.

During the Digital Spy forum days, people discussed this and how Ronan was making Stephen's death all about him. His grief, his problem, etc... it lift a horrible taste in people's mouth.

He made it seem like he was the only person in the world that lost Stephen and his grief was worse than anyone else's - he's such an attention seeking wick

If I remember back in the early 2000s (late 90s) he was the same when his mum died from Cancer. I remember his siblings calling him out about it.

I've been looking at his IG. There is something very performative about all the lovey dovey family posts with Storm. Seems a bit try hard which makes me think maybe things aren't as blissfully happy as they make out.

Storm seems like hard work, and he probably is too.

This was hard enought to find I can't find the other ones 🤔
It was his husband Andrew
I remember reading that Stephen fell out with his family for years and that they disliked Andrew. Wonder was it because of this sort of stuff, or summat else

Watched the documentary last night. I didn’t think it was particularly sensational, most of it I had knowledge of from over the years 🤷🏻‍♀️. Stephen was so young when he passed, he seemed older but 33 is no age 😔

I don’t think Ronan came across very well, despite his heavy involvement in the production and wondered if he hadn’t been so involved would it have been more damning for him? He’s not a nice guy but I feel the documentary only touched on this. He really bought into his own hype!

I was a big fan of boyzone in my early teens and it was nice to reminisce, but musically they were awful 😂

He comes across as a moody git. I also don’t for one second believe the narrative they put out.

crappy this guy walks free, it's pretty clear he was on his phone and veered to the wrong side of the road. These young drivers will never learn when they will never be held accountable. I don't blame the family being so angry!
Whatsapp sent at 15.33pm and first 999 call 15.37
By the time they crashed got their wits about themselves and managed to make the 999 call is 4 mins. He was clearly texting at the time.

Agree. I’m outraged by the lenient sentence. Can’t even imagine how the family feel.

The lies about the Snapchat message and the traces of pot in his system are unforgivable. The Keating family shouldn't have had to listen to that tit in court and see him walk free.
The fact that he plays GAA shouldn't be a "mitigating factor" either. Absolute disgrace.
