I saw him on the news the other day and couldn’t bare to unmute the TV. Cannot stand the sight or sound of him. Worth watching?

I loved it. Wasn’t a fan but I guess my era. Very well done and thought provoking really. I felt for Mikey. Louis Walsh as hellishly Machiavellian as we all suspected of course.

Isn't Louis himself gay?
Yes. I've heard over the years that he used to tell all his boybands that if they were gay, they had to keep it an absolute secret and appear to date women. Never referred to his own situation.
It wouldn't shock me if he was the one to sell that story though: he's an absolute villian.

I really enjoyed it. And cried again over Stephen.
Was Stephens ex who was on it the one who beat him up once, doesn't anyone remember?
I remember reading it in the paper so it was probably made up by Louis and the rum gutter press.

I watched it with my daughter who was a baby when I was going to their concerts. The names she called Ronan Keating. He produced the series too.

Louis is gay. I know his partner. They're together years

That he was gay and in a relationship 😞 didn’t different world back then
It really was a matter of time before someone sold Stephen out, as he was very out on the gay scene in Dublin back in ‘94. which it can’t be underestimated how brave that was for a young lad from Sherrif Street. This was only a year after homosexuality being decriminalised. It goes to show just how likeable he was. When he died, even my old school rocker friends were sad.
Louis, being the narc he is decided to do it to:
(a) control the narrative
(b) control Stevo (good luck!) and the other lads
(c) profit

after all, Boyzone's first No 1 was mainly bought by Louis and the late John Reynolds. As in, going from record store to record store buying the singles. Legend has it that the lads were getting a but too giddy with excitement and Louis blasts them for “throwing shapes”. He them shouts “there’s your No 1”, opens the boot and bleeping the CDs out of it!

Oh Christ above. Kerri Ann.
I remember her being Louis’s Samantha Mumba solo prototype. For about 18 months, that picture was stuck in the window of EMI (?) offices on Aungier Street/Wexford Street. Then Louis (and Cowell?)decided the time was right to launch this “16” year old popstrel on us. Even though her own interviews had her as 16 for a lor longer than 12 months.
The song was, forgettable, but the music video - seen once and once only- was a sight to behold. Think Timmy Mallett’s Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny video with more pouting, anda principal performer with far less rhythm and grace.

And she was never heard from again.

EDIT
apparently was another single)I was not the market). Please note the age of consent in Ireland at the time was 17, which they were pretending this girl was
