My mother in law’s suite is what I would describe as a muted cerise. Or a light burgundy. Standing the true test of time and going strong! Although the toilet handle falls off every so oftenA pink bathroom suite is my dream! I have one ready to go in my garage for when I ever buy a houseSomeone was getting rid of it for free and I HAD to have it! I just love them. And the pale blue ones from that era.

Seen a lot of houses on right move being sold by Purple Bricks - how does that work? There must be a fee somewhere?

You have to do your own viewings, unless you want to pay extra. And everyone I know who has used them has had a terrible experience. As much as the EA I used to sell my mums house was an hole he had his uses with chasing solicitors and the buyer etc. Purple bricks you are lucky to speak to the same person twice and they won't do any chasing etc.
They also massively overprice in my area. I have never known a property to sell for anything near the first price they put it up for. For example my neighbours PB put their house up for about 40k more than any other comparable house and then they were shocked when houses all around were selling in 2 or 3 days and theirs had hardly any viewings and no offers within 8 weeks.
Guide price 19k and sold for 129k! For a murder house!
My SIL used them and thought they were ok. However they got home report value (Scotland) in a market where pretty much every house is selling for over the value. There were two houses I liked for sale last year that were up within a few weeks of each other- identical newish build houses, one end terrace with purple bricks and one mid terrace next door with another agent. Very similar inside but end terrace had added a conservatory. Mid terrace valued at 10k less than the end but ending up going for 10k more than the other- purple bricks initially marketed it at offers over an amount that was 10k over home report value and had to reduce it. Our agents advised us to start the offers over price a bit lower than HV as we might piss off buyers. They were right! Houses are doing well right now but starting offers over at a very high price is a bit cheeky and would put me off viewing

Thank you for explaining it - I was thinking about going for them in the future but might just stick to the traditional route.
I had a bad experience with them too. I think they're great if you have the type of house that doesn't need any selling e.g. a well priced starter home in a desirable area but the house I was selling needed pushing and all your paying purple bricks for effectively is a listing on Rightmove
The area purple bricks come unstuck is if you’re in a tricky chain. We nearly lost our buyer because our vendor’s onward purchase was so complicated. Our estate agent had a dedicated Sales Progresser who managed the chain, communicating up and down it and speaking to all the solicitors.
When we bought our house they said to us if we’re selling ours through purple bricks and using their solictors they won’t accept us

Totally support the comments on purple bricks, our chain would have fallen through if it wasn’t for the massive amount of work our estate agents put in.

In my opinion the estate agents don’t come across very well , who puts no refunds
. Also yes it’s a tit tip but hardly looks like the floors covered in faeces I don’t understand why they need to say you have to wipe your feet as you are leaving . Never seen an advert like that - Status
