That's because of the foam insulation in the roof, it's probably pretty much uninsurable too.
Unless they've done it themselves (as opposed to via a government scheme or legit company), it won't be because of that. Some mortgage providers can be picky about it but it won't impact insurance.

£500k
Do you agree with the comments saying its cheap.

It's sold
Its in great condition internally ; the pool Im not bothered about. Cheap? No , 1/2 a Million? Id say theyve probably spent £160,000 + kitting it all out over the last few years. It is an extended semi detatched...... I wouldnt say its cheap but I wouldnt pay that for it myself. The yearly water rates must be extortionate as well, charged for water ( on a meter?)

They've take a lovely 1930's semi, and turned it into a monstrosity. I would want to rip everything out, and try to restore it.
I agree. I think it's weird and tasteless. I would say it's cheap comparatively though, I live in Surrey and my house is about half the size of that one, garden is tiny and my house is around £450k.

It's not cheap for the area and the pool is a liability rather than a feature unless you're really desperate for one.

I don't think it's particularly cheap. It's clearly had a lot of money spent on it, but already looks dated. So you're paying a premium for things you'll probably end up ripping out.

A pool is nice...but in Nottingham I'd question how much use you'd get out of it. They also cost a fortune to heat (alternatively, you don't heat it, but I had a friend in SW England who had an unheated pool and that was unusable for about 50 weeks of the year!). The pools also some distance from the house, I think if I was having a pool I'd want it much closer.
