What a shame. It’s going to be interesting to see how much that little house sells for at auction. It’s beautiful but plagued by drugs, has a crime rate above the national average and is high on the deprivation scale.
Someone will buy it as a holiday home or an Air BB. One less home for first time buyers. What a shame. It’s going to be interesting to see how much that little house sells for at auction.
That's not good. Here in Wales, holiday home owners have to pay double council tax which has meant quite a few smaller coastal properties have gone up for sale.Someone will buy it as a holiday home or an Air BB. One less home for first time buyers.
The locals call it st awfulI’m assuming it’s not?
I wish they would do that here in Devon! I live in a really residential part of my seaside town - 1970s bungalows, nothing "quaint" at all, and even in my cul-de-sac of 22 houses, 4 are Air BnBs, mostly sat empty all winter. That's not good. A lot of Anglesey is the same, and Abersoch on the Llyn Peninsula (called Cheshire on sea by some) is a ghost town during the winter. Local people can't afford to live in the places they have grown up in. When holiday homes and Air BnB's go on the market, they are usually at inflated prices, because the owners want to make a profit. Fortunately, because of the 200% increase in council tax on second homes, it has stopped new properties going on the market, being snapped up by holiday makers, and the new builds round here are only being sold to people who live and work in Wales.I wish they would do that here in Devon! That's the one with the suit of armour! I still maintain it *IS* bonkersI wouldn't quite sell my soul for this one (I like to be near the sea) but it would be a close decision.
I like this, it’s quirky but it works. And nothing says cozy home like a couple of snoozing dogs (in pic.8)I wouldn't quite sell my soul for this one (I like to be near the sea) but it would be a close decision.
