I don't think it has it's own thread but I reckon a lot of people in here watch Grand Designs.

Here's 25 years of Grand Designs condensed into 90 seconds.

How funny, I was half watching an episode tonight - the couple with the water tower. I’m not sure if the episode I watched was new or not, does anyone know if they got it finished?

The water tower was part of the current series, and was very unfinished. I binged the last three the other night, and the only truly likeable people were the Yorkshire couple who built an accessible house.

My favourite Grand Design was the house built in the woods that has to be pulled down when the occupant moves.
The Woodland House - Ben Law
RE the hideous house above, we have one in our village with a similar 'decor' and it's been on the market for 2 years and had it's price reduced by about 30% so far.
They'll struggle to sell it.

I adore this show. Kevin McCloud is my weird crush

Also doesn't appear to have an external door? How do you even get in?!
I did think it was weird that they didn't even mention it in the listing that the access is shared  but the street view shows it better, you have to go in through the neigbours gate and get in round the back door. It's the one that is purple in this photo, you have to go in the gate under the green house

I've mentioned before but my favourite Grand Designs house is the lighthouse style one in Croyde (Chesil Cliff House) that featured over 10 years ago. It really is beautifully situated but sadly he bankrupted himself building it as well as ruining his marriage. It's still for sale now! (although I think he sold it to a company to sell on in the end), for less than half what it was listed for originally.
