"What colour bath do you want?"

I knew someone years ago with a maroon bathroom suite (not marbled like one, although I'm not sure if that's deliberate or just because it's very old 😆). They also had a full room of maroon tiles to go with it. It was so dark in there.

Heavy smokers
That was my thought. I used to do energy assessments. Did one on a property that had been empty for 6 month but previously lived in by a smoker. I came out of there after 30 minutes absolutely stinking.
It's so hard to get rid of the smell once it's ingrained in the walls.

I'm fascinated by this. Chopin and Bach, yes. Door Ham, is that a composer I'm not aware of?

I think it's Door Handle. A cousin of George Handel I believe.

After we had bow Lane we have Cocking Lane

They always have so many sofas and chairs in these big houses. It took me weeks to pick ours, imagine if you have to buy 5 or 6 to fill up your house

Is anyone gagging to have Robert Elms as a neighbour (he might live at the Barbican, he hardly ever mentions it tho)? I love the idea of living here, but this is where the size/price inverse ratio reaches it's nadir.

The fridge looks so out of place and too big for the space.

Unique!

They know what they like, don’t they. They like Disney and that is that. What the name of that American woman who used to advise on how to sell your house, which was basically put beige paint everywhere. She would have a fit of the vapours in there. That’s a house for someone who also likes Disney or who doesn’t mind a big project - there is no inbetween.

Years ago my mum's friends lived in a council flat in the Barbican, I always thought it would be an amazing place to live. Not sure if any of them are still council now or they all went in Right to Buy.

It does look completely wrong. Looking at the floorplan though the kitchen is actually quite small for the overall house size/ cost. I suspect the new owner will redo the kitchen completely.

Yeah it's an oddly small kitchen compared to the rest of the house. I reckon a new owner will create a big kitchen/family room by knocking through to the snug. Then they will only need 4 sofas or so.

Not sure about having a bank vault off the bedroom, the house is done nicely and the floor in the entrance is very pretty. Bet the walls are lovely and thick, it being an old bank.

That’s a lot of en suites! What’s behind the barred door in one of the bedrooms, meters or something?

Bank vault (presumably an absolute a to remove). The extra photo is from the listings when it was a holiday cottage as I was being nebby.
