On the one hand I don’t mind women sharing their birth stories to help normalise and just open the discussions up the realities. But let’s not pretend that the whole oh I never knew I’d be leaving the hospital in a diaper thing is new, Every blue tick I follow on insta that’s had a baby has done the token I’m in a diaper too post. Very attention seeking.
Yep. I knew to expect the big mattress pads, but no one told me what to expect with bleeding (clots, lochia, the smell, how long it can last etc), the sore & leaking boobs, the afterpains.. there was literally nothing to be seen about the recovery of intervention labours. I felt like i was suffering in silence with my recovery. People want to act as though theyre sharing the raw & gritty details but its not. Its still all quite polite.

Nope. I have never fed any of my babies like this. In fact I found that putting so much in front of them had the opposite effect and they would be overwhelmed by so much food that they would just throw it all on the floor 😅. I made sure they got variety by offering different things on different days through the week and that worked for us.

Ok so she reckons she suffered a prolapse and yet was back exercising how quickly after the birth?!
Ha I tried to message her about her prolapse and she gave me a non answer. Id love if she actually went into proper depth on these things rather than just alluding to something (like having a prolapse) but then not actually going into how she is adapting her life or how it is affecting her. Fair it’s not her “job” as a nutritionist but I think she’s already blurred those lines on Instagram

I do not have children and don't have a notion about weaning them but yes, reiterating what others have said it's very worrying. I wonder has she had an eating disorder in the past or perhaps mild OCD tendencies? Surely feeding your baby shouldn't be this stressful!

Yeah sometimes I can feel like insta mums can be a bit smug about not using formula but I am also aware that that could just be in my head as I desperately wanted to breast feed and couldn’t. I think it’s more of the way they talk about ‘the bond’ it gives them as if formula feeding mothers don’t bond with their baby when they are bottle feeding. But again they could just be how I’m perceiving it and not how it is intended.

It's going to be barf inducing and 'ad ad ad' or constant 'sponsored, gifted, affiliate link, gifted' - a lot of them undeclared or hidden no doubt! May as well have a 'sponsored' stamp plastered on the kid's clothes
Go one better and just stamp it on its forehead, save her the bother of having to declare all the freebies 😂

She seems absolutely obsessed with his sleep routine and micro analysing everything about it. Im also confused about all these “leaps” and “regressions” that she talks about. Anyone explain what they are? It’s like he’s a work project that she needs to investigate and understand so she can document it, he’s just a kid, stop using apps, stop overthinking it and just look after him. The amount of stress she’s creating for no reason is insane.
Wonder weeks are predictable mental leaps that can make babies fussy, clingy, sleep regress etc. I can't remember much about it but I had the app when mine were younger and it was quite accurate. There's a book about it too

Ha and now her latest... “you never know why someone may have lost weight”... just don’t comment on it... but we all know that’s specially why she puts up those workout vids. So all the Huns can comment on how great and skinny she looks and ask what she’s done and she can kindly recommend they come see her at her clinic 🙄

Although I want to add that this definitely doesnt mean that it is ok to shame a woman on how they look. The whole how you dress/Inviting harassment thing still stands as not being ok. I guess Instagram and knowing how people are wanting to portray themselves is where those lives get blurred.
Exactly this. She portrays herself as a healthy influence, someone to aspire to, when in reality she is anything but. That’s my issue. It must be so triggering for people with eating disorders to go and see someone like her or Sophie!

And now a baby moon at... 35 weeks pregnant is she? Or maybe even more

I’m bored and checked the engagement on the AXA ad, only one slightly negative comment about AXA, but this comment 🤢🤢🤢 is what is wrong with the world
🤮🤮 Seriously?! My god I worry about some people!!

Exactly! Out of everyone I know that’s had a baby, only one exclusively breastfed and I take my hat off to her because it is HARD. I also feel like sometimes the don’t actually believe that some women can’t breastfeed they just think that women who formula feed ‘gave up’ or didn’t try hard enough.

Imagine being competitive over teeth 😂 and just like every other influencer that pops out a baby, suddenly an expert for everyone. Like sure have that sort of convo with your friends but the need to get up on her soapbox and give advice no one asks for.. ridiculous

OMG that will be painful to watch (don't follow her, so I will escape it). No doubt it will be completely OTT and don’t forget #gifted. I’ll take a guess and say it will be at Mortimer House or Soho house or one of those super insta clique venues. I predict Chessie King will be pulling stupid faces, Alice Liveing will be banging on about #strongwomen, Lucy Mountain will be chanting “phenomenal human” at them all and Megan Rose Lane will have her crystals and moon readings at the ready.
hahaha! So so true! I genuinely just lol’d. I just can’t bring myself to unfollow 🤦‍♀️

Her recent posts about pregnancy etc are just insufferable. Her comment about people who have had c sections having a massage and how that doesn’t apply to her, as if everything is going to be picture perfect for her. Obviously I hope she has an easy birth and wouldn’t wish a c section on anyone, but she really needs to have a word with herself about how cocky she comes across.
Hasn’t she had her baby yet? Seems pregnant forever. Thankfully, I don’t have to see her painfully preachy perfect gifted life anymore.

Totally. I actually think it’s really distasteful when so many have lost their jobs etc to be sharing her extravagant lifestyle. All whilst pretending to be really normal and humble.

I imagine her business is going to take a big hit though. No doubt she’ll be one of these super mums who is back to work 24 hours after giving birth!
With the associated exercise video and dietary advice
