RIP Tim Curry.
He will be sorely missed; he has been at some comic cons in recent years and I always hoped to meet him.
I've said this elsewhere, but his introduction as Frank N Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show is one of the sexiest things on film.
I'll be watching that film tonight.

I had a ticket to meet him but he had to cancel (this was a couple of years ago) at For the love of sci fi. I had met Peter,Susan Sarandon,Nell and Patricia that day. I always hoped he'd be well enough to do another. What a bloody sad day

August has been terrible for celebrity deaths, Dolly and Tim have just topped it off.

Still not over Giles from Buffy, without the additions since. Dolly and Tim within 48 hours though seriously!
From what was being said, I had an inkling Dolly was ill but never expected to hear she had passed. She is one celebrity I will mourn as she has done so much good for this world and never asked for credit for it. There needs to be more people like her....doing it because it's right, not because it will get her attention. I knew she had done a lot but didn't realise how much until people started posting about it today.

As if this wasn't a kick in the teeth, then I found out about Tim today. I have loved him since the first time my mum put on Rocky when I was a kid and saw him walk out the elevator. I didn't realise at the time that this was the same guy who played Pennywise in It and the devil in Legend, two other films I loved. I know he was also suffering ill health but hoped we had another few years with him yet but sadly it wasn't to be.
It really looks like 2026 is turning out to be another 2016 and I'm genuinely worried who will go next as we aren't even finished August yet.

I know what you mean. I am a huge Buffy fan and was still getting over Michelle, trying to get my head around the fact that it was the youngest Scooby who passed first. Then came the news about Nick which was a shock. Then we lost Anthony...
