I'm devastated about Dolly. I thought she'd go on forever. She was genuinely one of life's good people

Oh damn, not Dolly. I just saw an update on YouTube and it said Dolly Parton, then was listing what she's famous for, and I wondered what the hell the rest was going to say and feared the worse as I clicked to read further. That really does suck. What a terrible year of celeb deaths so far. Is she the biggest? Probably.
Dolly was the finest example on how celebrities should behave. Completely selfless, devoted to making everyone’s life better and beloved by all. She was a true definition of hero. RIP 
Dolly was not just a national treasure, she was an international treasure. Absolutely irreplacable.
Funnily enough they were playing Jolene in a local pub on Saturday, I couldn't help but sing along. A truly classic song. I'm sure she knew how much she was loved.

80 is no age for someone who was so active and full of life, it’s just so unfair. She should have lived forever.
Dolly’s passing has affected me how David Bowie’s did, I just can’t believe it. She was such an icon for her music and her philanthropy. I cried this morning watching a video from an American man whose kids have received a book each month from Dolly’s Imagination Library. I love the song ‘Here You Come Again’, and seeing Beyonce last year cover Jolene and hear her on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album, along with her duet with Sabrina Carpenter, she was just always a figure in the music I listen to but appreciate her music as well. Rest in peace legend 
80 is no age nowadays, look at all the music stars in their 80s who're still selling out arenas and making number one albums. I think that's one reason why this has come as such a shock.

On their birthdays you’d also get a video of dolly singing happy birthday to them ( obviously not individually) but I loved getting them every year
She was truly amazing and everything she did was to leave the world a better place esp for kids
she had cancer which wasn't made public knowledge. she did say she'd overlooked some of her own health issues while she was caring for her husband. i think that's why it seems so sudden

Dolly could genuinely say she left her little corner of the world in a much better place than when she first arrived in it. And that is a real, actual legacy to leave behind.
