Just reading about him and Lysette Anthony, he had Parkinson's and when he read a couple of years ago that Lysette had also been diagnosed he reached out to her (they'd acted together in a film in 1990) and they ended up in a relationship. Sad thinking you've got another chance at a happy relationship in your 60s and it gets snatched away
