Just saw Olivia Hussey from the 1968 version of Romeo & Juliet as well as the horror cult classic Black Christmas has died at the age of 73.

Last I heard of her, she and Leonard Whiting, who played Romeo, tried to sue Paramount Pictures back in 2022. They claimed they were told nothing would be shown but his bare behind could be seen as well as her breasts. As Olivia was only 15 and Leonard was 16 at the time, they claimed it was illegal. It ended up being dismissed in 2023 when a judge threw it out using the statute of limitations and said that since it wasn't sexually suggestive, it couldn't have been illegal.

I remember listening to him with my Nana back in the day when he was on Radio 1 on a Saturday afternoon as my granddad, dad, and uncles would be in the pub watching footie while my mum had my wee sister up town. My Nana would always be knitting something, and I was always the one who had to be her helper. It was funny as she thought she was this great liar, saying it was for someone else and nothing to do with me but forgetting she had already asked me what my favourite colour was a few days ago, which turned out to be the same colour as the wool she was using before, and I knew the shape of a knitted cardigan as I got so many when I was a kid. If that wasn't proof enough, the wee version for my wee sister she tried to hide confirmed it because whenever I got something, so did she, and vice versa.

It was sad to read Johnnie had passed but I did get a bit of a chuckle from some online who seem to think he was the guy who made the whiskey and talking about him being 'a sound guy, as I have had many a good night thanks to him.'

She just did an interview with The Sun in November and denied she had anything done—only admitting to Botox, and she looked that way naturally due to her genes. I know she lasted until her 80s, but I wouldn't be surprised if her body finally had enough. It isn't equipped for that much needless surgery and all the tit it does to your insides while trying to make your outsides look better.

She was apparently due to be arrested for failing to make payments on loans worth hundreds of thousands of dollars

I never met him but I did meet Merrill, Jay and Jimmy. Saw them perform too.
What lovely, lovely men they are.
A really nice family and all oozing with talent.

I was too young to be a fan, but my mum adores them and often joked I came out of the womb wearing a tartan scarf and knowing the words to all of their songs. Even now, if there is anything to do with them that comes to our part of Scotland, she will be there, the most recent being Donny (her favourite) appearing in Joseph just before Christmas.

I'm genuinely surprised it was Wayne who passed first; as Alan was diagnosed with MS in the 80s, I remember hearing about him having a stroke, something that also happened to Jimmy. It was sad to read.

Celebrity deaths don’t usually upset me, but I’m so shocked at The Vivienne, I follow them on Instagram and they were doing so well in the theatre

I loved The Vivienne 💔 I'm heartbroken on hearing this news, condolences to his family and friends, a tremendous loss, rip 🙏
