The referral process is quite complicated and the school might be putting referrals in, but the local authority doesnt think they meet the threshold. In my Local Authority will come through and it will go to a specialised referral team in the hub , then get passed on to the team managers, and only then will be assigned to one of us to complete the assessment.Thanks for the reply…..in my experience most referrals come from school. If Alfie has developmental needs and genuinely at risk of significant harm,why aren’t school acting?
Ive heard of people completing the refferal form and it being sent back to them because its not detailed enough, doesnt show enough evidence etc!
I actually feel a little sorry for the school safeguarding officer because they are not social workers, they trained to be teachers- that is what they are specialists in, and then we expect them to be a kinda social worker within the school setting.
Also, i find my team manager is the person who makes all the decisions! They already have an idea of what to do when it is assigned to one of us, and we follow their instructions. Another annoying thing that happens in my local authority is just how involved our legal team are when it comes to care plans! @no1broccolifan , my colleague who is an agency worker said she has never experienced this in any of the other authorities she has worked at! At my local authority its almost like the legal team solicitor writes the care plan! And my collegue said in every other place she has worked the legal team follows our instructions! Whereas its not like that here, its so frustrating!

Do you think Alfie and Woody would meet the threshold for either Child in need plans, or Child Protection plans? I do, and i would absolutely recommend they be put on child protection plans under the category of neglect.
Also, have you been on the Ingham Family threads? You absolutely should come and join me on there! It is absolutely disgusting how their children are being neglected and suffering emotional harm from the parents.

What is Stephs insta?Her “skincare business” is definitely drying up now. She hasn’t posted one of those “Club 10/20” stories for AGES. Her upline Steph has been pretty negative about her “business” too recently, basically admitting that it’s not going well anymore, so if it’s gone to shit for her it’s definitely gone to shit for Becky because she’s UNDER Steph (even though it’s not a pyramid). Do I think she had a few months at the start where she was earning £1k-£2k in a month? Very likely. But there’s only so much flogging of the same product you can do. The money in the Hobson house is most definitely drying up now, and unless she shows a DATED screen shot of her earnings from NuSkin I refuse to believe otherwise
