Those were some Israeli men last time I think? And they were all let go.
In recent years it seems that these attacks are more frequent (unless its reported more) and its terrifying. I went to magaluf 12 years ago and I don't think I would go back now. Definitely men who would try take advantage then but we always stayed in a group.

I think it’s a bit of both, it’s more common (or at least more common that British women are the victims) and it’s also reported more. I never went on the traditional holiday to magaluf/ayia napa etc but quite a few of the girls I knew who did had had close calls.

a girl I went on holiday with was raped. She’d had a few drinks but nothing that impacted her really. She was flattered because this big muscley guy was showing an interest in her. He asked to show her something in his room and that’s when it happened. Nothing to do with drugs, everything to do with vile men who feel entitled.

So according to the uncle Sara fell down the stairs and broke her neck
So why the urgency to leave the country then and where is the dad now?

Not a murder but WTF is the real story behind these thousands of thefts from the British Museum? And what the hell is George Toad doing as chairman of the place, how did that happen?

My friend is convinced it's a dodgy long game setup by Osborne to ultimately return the Elgin Marbles under some "Britain doesn't know how to look after its treasures any more" ruse.

Something is very very fishy about it anyway.

Where is fab poster @Be More Pacific …Haven’t seen you on here, hope all ok,I love your posts.☺

Aww, thank you lovely 🥰 I am still here, reading all your comments but not posting myself much really. I moved house four weeks ago, complete life change and all that, and well duck me, I'd forgotten how damn hard this is! 😅😭 Had barely any time to enjoy our new lives so far!

But I feel like we are finally getting somewhere now though so hopefully normal service will be resumed shortly. My trial calendar was very sparse for August actually and I'm really not following much at all right now.

But while I'm here, I noticed that my guy John 😉 has uploaded something called Murder Trial - it's a two parter about the disappearance of Renee & Andrew MacRae. I watched a couple of minutes and it appears to be very much in the same vein as the programme the BBC made about the Margaret Fleming trial, which was also in Scotland. Should definitely be worth a watch as the previous one was excellent - I have talked about it many times on here, as in something I'd be in favour of - not live Court TV like the USA but edited highlights once a verdict is secured. It's already on iPlayer and, looking ahead, part one is BBC2 next Monday at 9pm.

Thought this might be of interest to some! Aired on BBC Scotland tonight.
Ah, I was typing while you posted - got distracted half way through 😂

I wonder how much the 'normalisation' of violent sex in porn, and the increasing use of porn, has to do with this kind of crime?

In the last thread @ElektraWintour posted a link to an article about prisoners serving whole life sentences, which I found very intetesting. There are currently 71! The article profiles some of them, most I'd heard of, a couple I hadn't. I'd be interested to see the full list of 71 profiled.

Honestly it's the eyes, they all have that dead look behind the eyes. Or in dale creegan's case dead behind the eye. I've looked up the list before and there are a few people I've not heard off but they tend to be older so maybe that's why.

Wikipedia has this list of the WLO: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_prisoners_with_whole_life_orders

Robert Maudsley is the one in a special glass cell isn't he also
Yeah he's underground as he killed other inmates. I've looked him up before and I'm not excusing his actions but he hates paedophiles as he was abused as a kid I think. So that's who he killed in prison.

I'm so confused about the British Museum story. Why on earth would you put ancient artefacts on ebay for £40? I couldn't even be arsed trying to sell my old clothes on ebay for £40, too much hassle.
