It's always the school's fault. Never gross and Joyce's tit parenting. You'd think with 6 kids, they would have sussed it out...
They didn't "pull" him, it's an option offered to all year 10 and 11 students locally, many move here because they do a different mix of subjects to the traditional. Although I also know many kids who went to the school he left and managed to attend quite happily without daily calls home for their behaviour. What is the common denominator here? Why have they sent all their kids (apart from Betsy - her choice and Wilbert - because he is too young) to this school if it is so terrible?

I.have child No 3 at this 'awful, terrible' school. Eldest has a solid job, 2nd is in the Royal Navy, 3rd about to enter GCSE's feeling happy. The problem does not lie with the school.
It can't lie with the school. At this point its impossible. 6 kids and ALLL OF THE KIDS have had problems at school. Except when Rachel tells everyone that a particular school was amazing - send all the kids there then?! I've never seen 6 siblings all have problems at school, ever.
One of my sons went to the school she hates, he has severe dyslexia and thrived at the school. postcards home often, extra english tutoring to support him, able to drop a language to concentrate on English, great communication, great pastoral team, no issues with behaviour, underage drinking, drugs outside of school and now has a very successful career in the Navy partly due to the belief in himself the school gave him and my ex husband and I putting our kids first when we separated.
I disagree, it is quite often families of kids that cause havoc at schools. A child having genuine difficulties because of unmet needs tends to be sole thing, sibling sets causing nightmares are all about the home.
A million years ago, when I was at primary school, there was a boy in my class who caused no end of bother. He had an older brother, two school years ahead who was the same.

the school told the mum they wouldn’t take her. You could do that kind of thing in them days. Mum was horrified, of course, but no reflection on the why.

I've never known anyone be so weird about sex, sexual health and genitals as Rachael. Does she think we're jealous of her having access to Josh's silky pen or does she have some sort of previous trauma that she deals with by mislabelling the reproductive organs and acting like she's a teenager and the first of her friend group to have sex?
Do they ever stop and think what the kids must think? And surely people she knows (friends - if she has any genuine ones) must be literally cringing at her

I don't understand why they need to read them out anyway. I've never had a diary myself but know that they are personal to you. Not the whole Internet.
