Like any nightlife group, it can get very dark and people get lost in it. I feel incredibly fortunate to have enjoyed the nightlife in the mid 90s early 2000s. Same with Ibiza in the late 90s. Incredible times I will remember all my life. However the hedonistic dream became really gnarly for many. Suicides, break downs and people getting addicted to really hard drugs. I often feel these celebrity suicides are a legacy of those times. Alexander McQueen, Keith from the Prodigy, and Isabella Blow. Also a lot of anxiety issues plague people from that era, due to drugs imo. I like many lost friends from that time but try to remember the positive times. Also the incredible live music from that era. But I am very conflicted because a lot of damage was done as well. That's probably why I have such mixed feelings about the Primrose Hill group.
Pasty Kensit is kind hearted and generous. She just wanted to find love but like a lot of us was unlucky I think. Pearl Lowe, well I cant really stomach her circa 1950s ingenue shtick. Another incredibly connected woman who had so many opportunities and just wasted them all. Does anyone remember Travis Fimmel off Vikings? He used to be on the door of the st Martin's lane hotel. Lol. Strange how things turn out.

Kate Moss always wanted to be a singer in a band and it caused a lot of tension in her marriage as thats what she wanted. I dont know why when she is perhaps the most coveted model of the century. Who knows?

Sorry, bit late to this but it was mentioned on the Secret Celebrity Gossip thread. I thought it might have been Damon Albarn but a super sleuth on that thread narrowed it down to the lead singer of Menswear as they toured with Pearl’s band.
I read her book years ago and I while I admire her honesty, she’s nothing more than a groupie who hit the jackpot when she met Danny Goffey. Her band were tit and she can’t sing and if some of the stuff that she wrote about concerning her kids had happened to Tracey who lived on a council estate, she’d have had them taken off her. But she must have something about her that men find magnetic. I remember when the swinging rumours were flying about that it all went pear shaped because Jude Law fell in love with her.
It also annoyed me in her autobiography at the start when she slated her ex husband (who she originally claimed to be Daisy’s dad) for not paying maintenance then revealed two thirds of the way through, that actually her dad is Gavin from Bush. She must have had an inkling, even when she became pregnant that it could’ve been either of them.

That guff about the blood type diet and how thats the first time she realised that if you have sex with 2 men then find out you're pregnant theres a chance either of them could be the father! She kind of glosses over the dumping Daisy on her parents to go partying and the heroin addiction while having tiny babies. Like with all of them, the reason their kids werent in care is because they had nannies, who were effectively foster parents.
Re Lisa Moorish - unsure I'd it's been mentioned elsewhere but I think she also briefly dated Steve Coogan, and in Alex James's EXCELLENT autobiography (well worth a read if you haven't already read it) he refers to a charismatic, mixed race model called Lisa and how much fun she was to be around, how she always had something interesting to say etc. I'm 99% certain it was Moorish and I think in reality that's how she got by. She did a spot of modelling, the odd DJ gig here and there, and probably had designers chucking stuff at her because of the socials she moved in and where she was seen. I don't personally think she was a dealer or escort as others have implied, but suspect her charisma and popularity opened doors for her and she traded on that before she started to receive child maintenance from Liam (not sure how much she would have got from Pete tbh, I think he wasted most of his money on getting wasted tbf!)
Think this is a really good point. The reality of the London set in the late 90s is the we’re just normal people in the right place at the right time, and I can imagine many musicians and models/ tv presenters were easily influenced by strong charismatic personalities. You know what it’s like in London lots of people occupy high status positions in society just Because they are rich or a face on the scene. I blagged my way into so many places I can totally see how it happens

Didn’t Lisa Moorish want Liam to pay for both her kids coz she couldn’t get any money out Pete Docherty? I’m sure I heard that somewhere but can’t find it. When I googled it, Liam had apparently also bought her a house ‘and that’ so she didn’t do too bad out it either way.
(Not excusing Liam in any way, as he was shagging Lisa Moorish while married to Patsy Kensit and didn’t want much to do with Molly til recently. But they’re all skanks however you look at it)

I agree. I don't like the slut shaming implications. Also I'm sure her music career started off really well. Wasn't she signed to Def Jam? Or am I imagining that??
