Opportunity? She was just a convenient tina for him probably. Probably boosted his ego. Its not always about looks. Look at Prince Charles. Although him and Diana were so woefully unsuited I doubt he even noticed her looks.
True. I don't think looks play a factor a lot of the time, we see good looking people being cheated on constantly. People get bored. Remember when Arnie cheated on his wife, Maria Shriver with his housekeeper? She was a normal, homely looking woman.
I imagine in that industry they see so many beautiful people that it must become normal after a while, if that makes sense?

Sorry, no. I said that Gavin looked very young. It would be the same to me if Gavin were female. And Marilyn looks way older than him in all photos of them together. However I take your point that Marilyn was born in 62 and Gavin in 65.
I could also imagine that the success of the respective wives played a role - the “mistresses“ made the cheaters feel good as they admired them and were clearly not in the same league.
Yes the mistresses piled on the praise whilst the wives were fed up of their tit....or pregnant.....or working....or anything really. Dirty dogs the lot of them.
