Had a quick search and couldn’t find a thread on her. I’ll give a quick run down of who she is:
Name: Alex (PrettyPastelPlease on YT/Insta)
Age: 28
From: Australia
Content: Mainly fashion, gets involved in a lot of fast fashion but then acts like it’s okay because she donates it all at the end of the year/flogs it off for charity. She popped up in my recommendations around about the Jaclyn Hill mouldy lipstick gate (which she did a video on)


What’s everyones opinions? What prompted me to make this thread is in one of her new videos she mentioned “bi panic” a few times, sexualising her friends while they were trying on clothes to the point of it being uncomfortable to watch. She later stated she was straight in that same video. That didn’t sit very well with me, it almost came across quite queerbaity in my opinion.

hello! Was hoping an alex thread would pop up - I started following her a couple years back when she’d review wish items / unique clothes from smaller places etc.. but honestly as her channel has grown I’ve found shes become unbearable to watch.

I understand and respect people grow and content changes but now it’s all rude remarks from her when people voice opinions on her content, especially the videos where she’s dyeing her hair which she honestly churns out at-least once a week? Lmao

As for the queerbaiting I HATE that; it’s almost like she makes it a part of her brand online, being part of the lgbtqia+ community isn’t part of your ‘pretty pastel’ aesthetic alex??
And saying ‘bi-panic’ as a straight woman is honestly just using bisexuality like it’s a throwaway statement - its on par with people who don’t like mess saying they have OCD - it just doesn’t work like that when these labels are real and people actually are these things?

Finally as for the friendship thing, I couldn’t agree more, also the clickbaity ‘ex boyfriend’ videos when she includes her friend same irritate me alot, especially because if anyone insinuates anything around her and him she gets rude again as mentioned above

We’re completely on the same page! I followed her because I initially found her super endearing and funny but now it seems as though she’s gotten a bit too big for her boots.
Careful asking about the bird, no doubt she’ll make a snarky remark about him being alive and well when people are just genuinely concerned since he’s gone from being part of her brand to barely being mentioned.

I just find her really grating now.Her videos just feel like cash grabs and they feel so wasteful with the sheer volume of cr@p she buys and will probably never wear. What a horrid way to find out, and manipulate from Alexs part because she knows what her fans are like and knows they’d track her friends down and harass them about this. Very ballsy though since all it takes is for one of them to snap and then all the beans Alex has been evidently conveniently diverting will be spilled.

I used to watch her a couple of years ago when she was doing Japan vlogs I think? I thought she was alright, it always weirded me out that she allows her parrot to fly around the house no doubt shitting on everything. Been dipping in and out of Alex’s content for a while, and not to get all armchair psychologist about it but is anyone else concerned? After her talking about her health issues on the side channel (specifically her meds giving her serotonin syndrome, and a few other things), I can’t help but think she needs to get a second opinion. I’ve personal experience with bipolar disorder and this current car crash screams manic episode to me.

Given Caitlyn had the car keys, I’m amazed she didn’t just drive off and leave her there. Why does every video take ‘self-obsessed’ to a whole new level?

Alex also mentioned in this video that Caitlyn had missed her flight and was feeling sad about it... Now I don't want to point fingers, but I wonder if Alex's blatant disrespect for other's commitments has anything to do with this.

I definitely call bluff on the Dan cheating and wouldn’t even be surprised if that was Alex making up that rumour and posting to attempt to flip the narrative. I’ve got a pretty decent cheat-dar and Dan never sounded the alarm bells (Alex on the other hand…).

Classic GG though people doubling down as soon as she’s playing the mh card, I’m sure she showed no sympathy when she up and left her husband and all her friends to fuck off somewhere else and act like they were all dead to her. No sympathy from me unfortunately Alex, you’ve made your bed

The Sydney house had sold for 1.7mil, they both celebrated this separately. Dan posting a glowing, all smiles photo looking great and with no wedding ring in sight. Alex posting herself out for dinner, wearing Clayes t-shirt, and protesting that “people must leave her alone” (i.e. she’s been lurking her GG thread and can’t handle what people are saying about her).

Yeah, she was all 'everyone would be able to celebrate [selling a house], but I can't because people on the internet are mean' - Jesus wept, its two dozen people on one forum who (honestly, should get out more) are questioning her, and Tas-manic Karen acts like there is a mass conspiracy going on against her.

Of course she posted on that pigeon account the moment GG slowed down a bit, after vowing to stay off SM, then promptly privated it again. They Claye shirt and necklace are just bait. (someone posted the Southpark privacy tour gifs, and thats so spot on) I don't remember the house selling being discussed much on GG, people just picked up on that pic of Dan minus his wedding band and that she wasn't in Sydney for the sale.

I am not at all surprised that she hasn't kept/couldn't keep up with the Thriftmas videos. In the comments to one of her videos she said that PPP was a character and now we're getting the real Alex. Sounds a bit Caroline Calloway maybe? Lets see how keen her subscribers are on that (or the horrible editing on her latest offerings).

Just reading the PPP SubReddit. Apparently it was possibly heart disease? One of her friends posted a heart photo on Instagram with the caption that heart disease can affect anyone. Timing seems relevant but her friend could be talking about someone else as they don’t name Alex in the post. The wording on the memorial announcement on Alex’s Instagram definitely reads like suicide, which is tragic if true.

Alex metioned in her insta comments (so she kinda started this whole saga herself) that she and Dan are selling their Sydney house and hinted that viewing dates are already in progress and, of course, GGers were all 'hold my beer' and went looking for the listing and found it. Its a fancy 6 bedroom affair and people have opinions (its mostly pages and pages of same opinions over there tbh). No links to the listing have been shared on the thread but people have been asking for pointers how and where they could find it, someone posted a picture of the floor plan and a few numbers (number rooms/ bath rooms, auction date).
Low and behold, an admin just popped up on the thread reminding everyone not to share identifying features because they received 30+ (baseless - the admin's words) complaints from one person (a name springs to mind) this morning.
Someone posted the pictures from the listing on lolcow though.

This is pretty much confirmation that her and Dan are doneso then, even though that was obvious. Also lol at her complaining to GG it’s clear she frequents that site.
