Is it possible he was in the bath and SA'd him in there which might explain water residue being in the bath.

My impression of McGowan-Fazakerley is that he is an absolute wet wipe who knew what was going on and did absolutely nothing about it.

I'm guessing more will come out about him though and it seems there may be some evidence he contributed to the sexual abuse?

Hope he gets convicted of something and there's no way he didn't know.
I get the impression more will come about him and his complicity. I thought an earlier post said his (JMF's) semen was found on the bars of the cot. I hope they both take the stand and get absolutely annihilated.

Yeah cos in one of the interview he was asked was that your legs and he said no comment so could they have been John's legs and filmed on Jamie's phone 🤔
I know it everyone’s right to remain silent during police interviews, but I find it telling that JV chooses to answer some questions and remain silent when asked others. I am interested in how many wet towels were found, how many items of Preston’s clothes were found with vomit on them and how many soiled nappies were recovered. There may be blood traces in the the nappy of an abused child. The bath seat is puzzling, I hadn’t connected the dots about the bath seat being in the sink suggests Preston wasn’t in the seat that day, but JV mentions more than once about throwing the seat in the sink. JV hunting for underwear, be interested to know if there were any clean pairs of pants in JV’s drawers.

The repeated mentioning of the bath seat in the sink is odd, plus him telling his friend he threw the nappy out of the window, and the police stating they hadn't found one. Weird he'd claim he had.

He said Preston had soiled 2 nappies, I assume this was said to cover the lack of dirty nappies in the house?

Regards JMF I can't make my mind up. I think it was a microscopic part of a semen cell found. Could it be transfer? If they are matching this to "fluid" dripping would you expect more dna material?
I think at this stage it's possible that he was unaware and nieve. Potentially tried to help JV believing his story was true that day, a bit like a maxine carr situation of misplaced loyalty? Absolutely doesn't absolve him of guilt either way, his loyalty should have always been to that precious baby.

I dont understand the timer though I mean if it is 4to6 minutes for oxygen to starve or whatever then surely that would be on his Google searches cos not everyone would know this. They are just sick
I’m not sure he was using the timer during the SA. I agree not everyone would know how long it takes to suffocate. I wonder if he was using it to time Preston’s respiration rate? I’m not really crediting the man with that much intelligence (or indeed care for Preston’s wellbeing) but that might account for why he opened up the timer app on his phone - to assess how serious his breathing difficulties were.

That still doesn’t explain why he didn’t seek help until JFM came home though.

I mean explicitly mentioning he threw it out of the window (who does that?!) The only reason I can think why someone would feel the need to lie like that would be if a nappy that would contain evidence had been put into M-F's car maybe to dispose of elsewhere, and to cover the fact it was in the car would be it being thrown from the window to him outside. Just a weird thing to tell someone you had done.

I can’t imagine the CPS would have pursued SA charges against JFM without significant evidence - maybe still to come out at trial?

Excuse my ignorance - who meets the cost of the defence barrister?

I see what you're saying, that could also be true.

I just thought, "he pooed twice", we didn't find any soiled nappies? "I threw one out the window for john to throw away". Would cover a hole in his story because Preston hadn't pooed and there wasn't 2 nappy changes.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned and I’ve missed it.
in JV’s account of his day to the detective at the hospital he goes through the naps the been sick the bath. But he never thinks to mention that the poor child had a seizure (that he filmed but doesn’t remember filming) Ah but he was going to send it up a friend who also had children who had suffered from seizures. There are so many inconsistencies in his story it’s unbelievable. And the fact that he no comments when he can’t think of an excuse are ridiculous.
Yes, the timeline makes no sense. In one version Preston is put down for a nap, immediately bathed on waking, is found under water and rushed to A and E. In another there is a seizure an hour and quarter before they leave for the hospital, JV immediately forgets this ever happened until the video is found.
When the police got the house the bath had been drained of water including any sick but there was water residue present. Why did he bother moving a bath seat to the sink when he had a critically unwell baby needing care?

Who throws nappies out the window by the way what a strange thing to do and the fact he said he threw it out for john does that mean he was there to pick it up and put it in the bin then surely it would be seen on ring door camera depending on if bedroom was above the front door be interesting to know if the police also checked the bin for nappies.
And if john wasn't there to put in bin still think its strange thing to say why wouldnt he say he just threw it out the window to put in bin later on Something iffy about that.

John saying he opened the bedroom window due to the smell of sick, must of been a hell of a lot of sick for it to smell really bad enough to open window bit exaggerated like the childs dying and your opening a window due to smell? Again something iffy about that.
Be interesting to know how many nappies, sick, clothing's was laying about the house.

And who on earth bends a sleeping child over the cot I cant wait to hear his explanation for this cos that alone is absolutely insane !!!

Maybe he’d had enough of Preston, and hoped he’d die before the other man returned from work!

In the interests of trying to be balanced, at the time my 25 year old was a baby, I had a Labrador who would eat dirty nappies 🤢 He’d even seek them out from a bin to eat. If it was nighttime, or if he soiled a nappy before bath time, drop them out of the window and shortly after the bath time was done, I’d go and put it in the outside bin. I don’t remember ever leaving nappies outside for my then husband to pick up when he returned from work.

was JV using the timer to work out how long before he could raise the alarm or before the partner was likely to call, if that was a regular thing to happen on his way home from work to see if any milk or sundry items were needed to be brought in with him?

Were they both shoe and sockless in the hospital videos? Can’t find an ‘innocent’ explanation for the partner to have removed his shoes given the scene he returned to. He may have been sockless as some men don’t wear socks with loafers, but shoeless doesn’t make sense.

I think John is wearing white trainers on the video at the hospital.

Just found this thread and am catching up but wanted to give my two pence on something. Around the time Ian Watkins was killed, I read the full court transcript of what he had done. I don't know did it break my algorithm or what, but it seems since then all I've seen are endless reports after reports, of men raping little babies. And it's broken my brain entirely. Why are we not rioting? Us as women need to go feral and literally rip apart any man who sexually abuses a beautiful innocent little baby. I want to see pedophiles executed on live tv, why are we not doing anything about this but sending them to prison for 3 meals a day 🤯 I don't want my taxes to feed a dirty baby raping oxygen thief. You grape a baby you get executed, there shouldn't be any alternatives. God I hate the world 🤢

I have actually just googled the seizure if you should time them... I wonder if he was timing the seizure?
But then in his statement surely he would of explained he was timing it.

Yes, you should always time a seizure, as it is a critical part of seizure first aid to track how long it lasts, particularly to determine if it lasts longer than 5 minutes. A seizure lasting over 5 minutes is considered a medical emergency. Note the start and stop times, cushion the head, and turn the person on their side.

Is it looking like this is what he did? Oral grape? Sorry to ask the question, it’s like I’m trying to understand the charges but my brain won’t let me believe it. That poor poor little baby.

Just watched a clip of JM sitting on a bench outside the hospital on the phone to someone. He firstly says baby Preston was in his bedroom when JV walked away for a few minutes and then changed to he was in his seat and then in the bath water.
I honestly can’t stop thinking of this poor baby and the torture he went through

Something I clocked on The Trial podcast was that were said to be delighted they got given a boy. My immediate thought was what the outcome would have been if it was a girl. Would they have abused her too? Would it have been SA?
