I only hope that the social worker who was sending love heart emojis has been sacked. She was able to be manipulated by the pair if them. And as for sending heart emojis...not professional at all
That sprang out at me, too - she's not a 14 year old writing to her celebrity crush FFS!

I've worked in the NHS - every e-mail, every letter, is a legal document. Phone calls have to be logged and a note kept. One of the surgeons I worked with would tell his student doctors - "Don't put ANYTHING in writing that you wouldn't be happy to see projected in letters a foot high onto a courtroom wall - because one day it WILL happen. Keep it short, keep it accurate, keep it professional." I would imagine SWs are under the same constraints.

Emojis of any type are a total No-No.

My mind just keeps going back to that awful amateur dramatic display at the hospital. I’m hoping that the display was put on as an act of desperation because he knew the game was up. I can only hope he was and is absolutely terrified
And I hope he ends up being justified in that terror when he gets a long sentence.

I usually give benefit of the doubt, but I am sure as the nose on my face that he IS guilty and will be found so. I hope he's enjoying his last few outings at the Jamie Varley show

She sounded like she was very very much on the adoptive parents' side, like a cheerleader.
She just wanted that adoption to go through and to work.
I posted an article about the Elsie Scully Hicks case a few pages back that talked about "positive bias" in social workers.
This is a prime example, and no lessons were learnt after the Elsie/Shayla case, it seems to me😡

I don't hope he's enjoying it at all, I just mean he isn't gonna see the light if day again after this and will live his weasily existence in terror.

Re him being sick tht day, surely the police will be able to confirm this by either finding sicky clothing or not?

I thought this, in the bathroom on the chamge table and the rug? I think there's a few things we're yet to hear. The nappy he threw out of the window wasn't there. We've also been told swabs were taken from varley on arrest so I assume there's more forensics to come.

Can anyone tell me if the accused are on remand or living in the community?
Are they still together ?
I can find the answers

I find it interesting that he switches to no comment during interviews - I have a previous policing background and will stand by the police interviews being such important evidence. Be interesting to see if either of them take the stand too…

Depends how thoroughly they searched the home for evidence. I don’t have much faith in police when it comes to preserving evidence in these kinds of cases. IIRC the father of Poppi Worthington got away with her r*pe and murder because the police failed to secure the scene and allowed the dad’s sister to throw soiled nappies in the bin.

I hope that won’t be the case here.

If they still have blood samples from the autopsy they should be able to determine whether he'd actually been sick or not due to electrolyte abnormalities in the blood, it's not infallible but it's something.
A doctor told me this when I was at A&E after vomiting and abdominal pain, she told me they could check to see if patients had actually spewed or were lying about symptoms by checking blood for various things.
Interesting to see if they'd use this method.

Well there was no water in the bath when police attended the house. Apparently due to a seal which had been leaking and then glued that day.
Preston was sick multiple times and had fresh nappies on after soiling them. Will they present photos of the house showing no sick and no dirty nappies.

He qualified as a teacher in 2021. He'd been a design technician before that at the same school and did his training there presumably a SCITT arrangement. He was then head of year by the time he took paternity leave in 2023 so only qualified 2 years. Very fast to get to that level really considering he only held QTS since 2021.

Why oh why would you take a video of the baby having a poo in the bath what was the purpose of this or did he sexually abuse him at that point that made him have a poo and the fact he looked asleep was this part of his sick twisted fantasy !!! EVIL

Am I correct in thinking there was a video taken of Preston on the day he died, showing him struggling for breath with blue tinged lips? They arrived with him to hospital at about 6:25pm, what time was the video taken? I've tried to flick back through but can't find it. Surely that would also show their lack of urgency to get him seen at hospital and show their version of events is bull.

It looks like they were remanded into custody in June 2025, and I thought I saw before that McGowan appeared on video link from Frankland, at the next Court date, which was October 2025.
I can't find where Varley was on remand.

Wouldn't Varley's hair also be damp or wet if he had supposedly been in the shower and then rushed straight to the hospital? Maybe not dripping wet, but at least signs he'd only very recently been in the shower.

I wouldn't mind them "experimenting" if it wasn't that children were suffering horribly because of it.

I know social workers have a largely thankless task, and that they are grossly overworked, but the number of bright, blood red flags being waved all over with this particular adoption - I hope that SW is severely disciplined, but I doubt it.

Yes i am pretty sure it was 4 or 5 ish the video of him struggling to breathe and then I am sure he said at some point he bathes him around 5 aswell so all the times dont seem to be adding up.

4.45pm I think that video was taken of him basically dying and that large lump doing nothing to help
