Google some pay wall removers they usually work
I said it on the previous thread but every time I see a little baby or toddler now with a parent/ minder talking to them, smiling to them, and just generally minding and caring for them, I think of poor little Preston. He was so helpless, as babies and toddlers are, and it's unbearable to think of how he suffered in that house of evil. Our little grandson is a few months younger than Preston. The other day he was running shrieking with delight around the garden, chasing us with a snapdragon flower to bite our fingers!
This is what Preston should have been doing - having fun, learning, being loved and cherished and protected.
These POS - I hope they rot.
The rapes were the least of it, truly inhumane abuse. I asked about police, parents decided no. Dad was v dodgy, living under a false identity. I asked about therapy counseling something, and this was before the worst was known, elderly well meaning out of touch gp said best not, kid will forget.Oh, Lord!
That poor, poor boy. That's awful.
This is something that in any grape case, but particularly where a child is the victim, should be understood. grape isn't just a "one-and done" act. The repercussions stay with the victim for years, and often for life. This is especially true where the victim is a child and hasn't had the opportunity to grow and properly develop any resilience and self-worth. Sex crimes aren't treated nearly as seriously as they should be (the traveller boys' grape of those two poor young girls, for instance). Juries worry about "ruining a boys/ man's life"; they rarely think about the effects on the child/ girl./ woman who is involved.
Evidentially, she wouldn’t provide anything for either the defence or the prosecution. They will have taken statements off her during the investigation but I imagine these formed part of the non-disclosable evidence in the trial. It could have been a legal argument that resulted in her not being called as a witness. Effectively, using JV’s and JMF’s accounts, they didn’t need mum to be a wWhy would JV’s Mother avoid any charges, or being called as a witness? She was caring for him frequently up to the day he died and must have seen the majority of his visible injuries.
It baffles me as neither side called her when she was so heavily involved and must have had her suspicions even if she didn’t voice them.
Yes, I want a SW to scare me!!I think the SW profession should be a very specific type of person. They should be confrontational, not afraid to ask questions, not afraid to make parents feel uncomfortable, even be intimating. You know like the same sort of presence as if the police were to knock on your door.
This is why I know I couldn’t do it. Hats off to all those social workers who are doing an incredible job, it’s a shame it seems there are so many who prioritise their own emotional comfort over a child’s safety.
I’ll openly admit, I’d be one who would probably judge a lower class family on benefits harsher than that of a high school teacher and a salesman with a beautiful house. Lesson learned from me.
Can you link this article pleaseThe extreme pornography was in a hidden folder on his phone. Not csa but bestiality. DM also covered his childhood, no father on birth certificate, then his mum's marriage broke up,one of six kids, a nightmare. It really seems like the screening he had wasn't sufficient.
He’s a racist thug but the dad does look mixed race to meSomething that's sat uncomfortably with me for a while and I feel like I can say it here. Preston looks mixed race to me, I don't believe that both his birth parents were white. And I can't help but wonder if that played an element into his treatment by these two.
Do we know anything about Preston's birth father?
There are no guarantees she would recover.I just can't understand why social services wouldn't let him stay in foster care until his grandmother had finished her cancer treatment?
Surely it's better for a child to be with their sibling rather than be adopted away from them?
If Preston's big sister can live with the Davey family, then why couldn't he have been given that chance?
I imagine the prosecution didn't call her because they felt, rightly as it turned out, that the evidence they had was more than enough without putting her on the stand, and the defence didn't call her because she was likely going to say something they didn't want her to.Why would JV’s Mother avoid any charges, or being called as a witness? She was caring for him frequently up to the day he died and must have seen the majority of his visible injuries.
It baffles me as neither side called her when she was so heavily involved and must have had her suspicions even if she didn’t voice them.
Preston's foster mother is the unsung heroine here - she tried so hard to raise awareness, but was shut up by SWs and blanked by those two POS. She must be torturing herself, wishing she'd just rung the police, or forced her way into the house kicking and screaming or something. She did everything she could and was fobbed off and ignored.Evidentially, she wouldn’t provide anything for either the defence or the prosecution. They will have taken statements off her during the investigation but I imagine these formed part of the non-disclosable evidence in the trial. It’s been said a few times but some of the bruising to his body was only visible after death.
I personally think she had suspicions of them being bad parents but no suspicions of SA and likely took what her son told her to account for the injuries and the hospital visits.
She had him on Wednesdays (if I remember correctly) but timing wise I think the SAs were done when she wasn’t going to see him. Plus, they caused seizures so any “off” behaviour JV and JMF would put down to that.
It’s easy in hindsight to think she should have known. Same with the info coming out about his upbringing/her relationships, I don’t agree that this was something that should have flagged in a background check or could have foreseen this happening.
For me the blame lays with JV and JMF, but if you want to look at others, then I would say medical staff and social services for not joining the dots and being “professionally curious”, I would then place his mum after them, then the school/colleagues. A number of people let Preston down. His foster mother tried to raise concerns and was shut down.
Plus - and I know I'm being judgemental here - she didn't do a very good job of raising her own daughterThere are no guarantees she would recover.
I've found the nans page but can't find him at allI think his dad is a bit mixed. You can find him on Facebook via the gran's page, he looks in a bad way tbf
