He keeps going on and on about how he was making Sunday lunch when JV called him to look at Preston slumped over the cot so he couldn’t have possibly sexually assaulted him.
I think it’s a lie because he’s doing that thing that liars do and over sharing to the point where I know that JV likes chicken because it was specifically mentioned the other day. You’re on trial for sexually abusing a baby to death but you’re talking about how JV likes roast chicken in your testimony 🫠

Sorry, petty but ‘lied him down’?
That thing about Christmas films is sooo rehearsed and contrived.
Not petty, I’ve been noticing stuff like this as well. They both have such an affected manner of speech, like their own little language. “Lied him down”, “twizzled”, there’s others as well. Not very articulate for a supposedly well educated couple and again demonstrating they’ve colluded to give the exact same story.

It's such a weird defence that they couldn't have sexually assaulted him because they bought a new bed?!? Peados sleep on the floor do they JMF?

I said before on here about how JMF going on about the Sunday lunch reminds me of Maxine Carr going on about the Sunday roast she said she cooked, and went into great detail about, when she was giving her false alibi for Huntley.

Just a thought bit anyone think he’s maybe stitching himself up going down this route of portraying himself as the parent who didn’t notice and saying himself he didn’t intervene or try to modify JV’s behaviour with Preston?
Let’s not forget he’s charged with ‘causing or allowing the death of a child’ so by his own admission he allowed a hell of a lot to go on, unchecked.

It’s literally their alibi.. we were cooking a roast at the time so why would we sexually assault him with a chicken in the oven

Don’t forget they’d just bought a new bed as well. New bed + Sunday roast = nothing possibly could have happened

It's just so bizarre, a roast isn't exactly a meal you have to be standing by the oven the whole time, it cooks itself. Plus without being crude, I can't imagine it takes a long time to SA a child. Also how can he be so sure JV wasn't doing anything? To be frank, unless we are all watching out partners like hawks, there's no way if knowing it's not happening under our noses.

It’s always “stupid, ridiculous” that JV took photos.
Never -awful, hideous, weird, wrong, disturbing, bizarre, concerning, misguided, sick, odd…

But also you now hate JV because the other week you realised he SA’d and killed your “son”.

Portraying a sense of middle class normalcy, they were so prim and proper they'd never harm a child. Unfortunately this happens among all classes and all walks of life

O hope that's not the end of the cross examination because I wanted to see him pressed on that 36 minute phonecall.

Yes 36 minutes to ask if he wanted anything from Tesco. It must have been quite the list.

I'm wondering if it's some kind of leakage, as in "new bed" = a place where sexual activity occurs, plus "chicken lover" rings a bell from around the time of the pizzagate conspiracy theory that it means a gay man into boys:

RE - the phone call. Has it only just been made public that it was 36 minutes long? I don’t remember seeing it before - just the timeline of JV’s phone activity with the snapchats/timer etc and the gaps in activity. As other posters have said, how on earth did JV have time to “put Preston in the bath” - I don’t remember seeing this specific part about the 36 minute phone call come up in cross examination?

Not that I was on the fence, but that completely seals it for me (and hopefully the jury) that JMF would have known something and they were plotting/agreeing what to do when he got back.

Well JMF says he can remember every little detail of that day from the moment he opened his eyes so perhaps they should give him a chance to tell the jury all 36 minutes of it. Cos what he’s said so far would take about about 2.
Always found it pretty hard to have a long phone call when my children were as young as Preston.. wouldn’t have been speaking for 36 minutes to my husband when he would only be home ten minutes or so later. It’s all lies.

So JV called JMF briefly and JMF called him back for a 36 minute call, which it looks like he was on to him all the way home... So when was this bath?
So reading this - the last action on JV’s phone being the short call at 17.34. But then JMF’s phone shows the 36 minute phone call at 17.35.

Does this mean JV tried to delete record of the call?
