Going for my 12 week scan this afternoon and we lost our pet last night. Still in total shock and praying for good news because I don’t think I could cope with anything else.

Thinking of you and hoping all is ok! ❤

Ok call from the hospital. Got a scan at 12:30. They said if my hcg level is over 1000-1500 they’ll do a scan and mine is 18,000. What the heck. So I’m in a flap and getting ready to go to the hospital. I’ll let you all know how it goes!
Good luck ❤ hoping all is ok xx

I’ve just been for my final growth scan (39 weeks today) All fine but they offered to induce me today. I said no as wasn’t expecting to be asked 😳 I’m booked in for one next week but can back out.
Oh wow. What was their reason for offering induction?

Just had my scan - I’m 5 weeks and 3 days so they said it’s too early to see baby but they could see yolk sac and everything that should be there. No sign of ectopic pregnancy, everything in the right place just can’t see baby yet.

@elloelloello is that the same as yours?

So super pleased for you 💗

So sorry to hear you lost your pet, it’s heartbreaking. I hope the scan brings you good news.

I had my 36 week midwife appointment and baby is breech. Has anyone been breech at this stage and baby has naturally turned? Or has any other experience of this to share? Thanks

They don’t want me to go overdue by much as baby changed position a few weeks back.

If they’d warned me at the last appt it might be offered I wouldn’t have been as shocked. I did have a stretch and sweep tho. Really hoping I go into labour naturally in the next week.

My baby was oblique at my 36 week growth scan. I had a successful ecv and she’s stayed head down since.

Did they mention turning the baby for you?

Great news! I was the same when I had my first scan, went back the following week and could see so much more

My second daughter was breech from 32 weeks. She turned of her own accord at 37 weeks and my god I felt it! She was born 10 days later just before 39 weeks weighing a hefty 8lb 13oz. So when they say babies will move and can move they certainly can! I hope your baby turns for you. I’m currently 21 weeks pregnant so have all this to come again x

I've got a growth scan booked tomorrow fortunately so they will go through the options in detail tomorrow. She didn't want to say too much until they know if she's feet or bum down.
Did the ECV hurt? I've read of horrendous experiences while others say it's a breeze?

This is encouraging to hear, thank you.

I had said I don't care about a birth plan, water, candles or whatever, give me the pain relief and get her here the safest way but I was surprised to feel upset that it might mean a planned C-section rather than having that spontaneous experience.
Pandemic pregnancy already robs you of so many experiences, maybe I'm just feeling sensitive.

Honestly it was fine for me. I’d made the mistake of Googling it and I was terrified before I had it done. She moved really easily and I didn’t even feel her move. It was slightly uncomfortable, and I had what felt like period pain for about 36 hours after. Paracetamol and a hot water bottle helped.

I think it depends on how easily they move as to how painful it can be. My consultant said if he can get a good grip on baby’s bum it’s a lot less painful as they don’t need to dig their fingers in as much.

I’ve been told today I’m still at a higher risk of needing a c section tho even tho she did turn back to being head down.

@Kitt I know this might be too personal but when was your LMP as I have managed to get a scan tomorrow I’m just really unsure how far I am and want to know what to expect you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to xx

Hey @Kitt so glad to hear it’s not ectopic.

Yep that is the exact same as me, although they think I might of been a little earlier than 5 weeks so I probably ovulated later than I thought.

Yolk sac is there but it was so tiny so no baby visible yet, going back in 10 days for another scan.

I’m so pleased your alright, been refreshing this constantly to hear from you! Xx

Do they give you the date based on a normal 28 day cycle? I think you, myself and @Kitt mY all be around the same.. really happy you are both progressing well I bet it is a fab feeling x

Hi no worries :) it was 29th November. They tried to scan as normal but couldn’t see much as so early so then they put a probe in vaginally (totally nothing to worry about if they do offer you that then take it, not painful in the slightest). I’m sure you’ll be fine xxx

Well the first day of my last period was 1 dec and my cycle is about 26 days (sorry if TMI😂) so that should make me around 5+3 but she thinks I am a bit earlier so I don’t know when I ovulated, I didn’t do any ovulation tests so I’m unsure. Imagine we all had our babies on the same day 😍🤩

Yeah I saw the yolk sac too haha. My legs were shaking so much she had to hold them still. How embarrassing.

Aww thank you. That’s so nice. I’m still at the hospital now waiting for an update and book another scan. Been here 3 hours just to book another scan.

12 week scan went well! Took a while to get some of the measurements as baby was jumping up and down so much. Even did the downs blood test and didn’t faint which is not like me 😂

I have an official due date now, I had one from a private scan but the midwife wouldn’t use it, she would only go off LMP which was 5 weeks earlier than the pregnancy!
