Don’t worry about it lovely - it’s we’re here for, I talk about my ivf a fair bit (previously on the fertility thread) as hardly anyone in my real life knows about it, it’s nice to be open on here XX
I have actually struggled to talk to people about it too and unless you have a ttc challenge then it is hard to explain that’s what I found. I then met someone who is now my friend and she was the same as me pcos irregular periods etc then she got pregnant and then I felt like I had no one I could then talk to. I am definitely ringing the doctors on Monday even though my doctors is awful x

Sorry guys that was me being annoying asking lots of questions thank you everyone for your help as I am clueless xx
Absolutely no apologies needed. Pregnancy and TTC is confusing and worrying. We are all there together, and that’s what the thread is for x

My midwife team isn’t associated with the doctor at all. It’s self referral, associated to the hospital. Outside of Covid they take a room at the doctors one morning a week or so but they’re totally separate which is handy if you’re not keen on your doctor. They don’t even share medical records though which I think is a bit crap, it’s all dependant on what you chose/remember to tell them both ways so you end up repeating yourself a lot.

My next closest hospital requires a referral form from the doctor but it’s still separate too.

Might be worth looking at your local hospitals’ website maternity pages for the process.

Defos ring them and if your not happy with their response/answer keep Persuing it - 2nd opinions etc, it took us best part of 3 years to be taken seriously as we already had a child naturally together (we have unexplained secondary infertility), happy for you to DM me if you want to talk anymore and although it feels super lonely & so isolating - I do promise your not alone ❤ Xxx

Mine is exactly the same too

Does anyone else find their baby movements super active and crazy? Laid here and my baby literally feels like he is having a rave in there, feels like he’s transverse with both fists and legs going like the clappers! Would love to see an ultrasound right now of what he looks like

Haha yes 😂
It feels like they're running in there and punching with both hands at the same time 😂

Mine is breech and I am getting a bit sick of the constant kicks in the bladder, it makes me squirm 🤣 never had a breech baby before (also have anterior placenta for the first time) so the movements this time are definitely atypical for me, and I’m not loving it!

Sorry for the random question..

I just stupidly logged into babycentre and joined my birth club.. I’m around 5.2 weeks I think and all the ladies on there are chatting about taking more tests and seeing the weeks progress on the clear blue digital and it’s made me worried! I only did one test and got a positive 1-2 weeks clear blue. Making me doubt myself and I feel like I should do more tests?

Even though I know my test wouldn’t give me a false positive it has me worried. Did you all just do the one test or did you do a few?

I know I shouldn’t be worrying about something so stupid 😂 going to stay away from the baby apps I think

Nah it’s balls. Don’t waste your money. I did lots of tests but I was a bit addicted to peeing on a stick and I bought the bulk bought cheapie strips online. Stopped testing after 6-7 weeks. The progression thing is nonsense as HCG doesn’t rise in a linear fashion. I think it just gives anxious women something to focus on which I understand

Oh babycentre strikes again! ( I fell for it too with my first) You have your positive that’s enough, try not to worry 😊

I did both tests with this pregnancy but more to just use up the second test as wouldn’t need it again 😅 I did them about 5 days apart and it went from 2-3 to 3+. But the weeks indicator isn’t proper accurate anyways.

In a previous pregnancy I did a stupid amount of tests as I’d had a miscarriage a few months earlier. But the stress it causes if the line isn’t darker etc does more harm than good.

I only took one test and it was enough for me since I had missed my period!

Thanks so much ladies. I know deep down I don’t need to keep testing but it just made me feel like I should be 😂

I’m doing everything I should be so I’ll let nature take its course, and I’ll stick to tattle from now on 😂

I've only ever taken 1 test. Even after having a miscarriage because it doesn't show anything 🤷🏼‍♀️
Even after my miscarriage, it took 4 weeks to go completely negative

I did three because I didn’t believe the first one 😅 it was a cheap one - 2 for £5 at the pharmacy. Then i did one of those clear blue week indicator ones just to make sure!

I know exactly how you feel though, I’m only six weeks and I feel like time has slowed down and I have forever to go before it’ll seem real! So tempted to get an early scan but really on the fence with it, I feel like I’d like to know now if something is wrong but then if anything is ambiguous it’ll be another agonising wait for the 12 week one!

The first trimester feels like the longest, it drags for ages even though all three are the same length!

I take a million tests 🤣 I’m 24 weeks and sometimes still test for fun! I buy lots of internet cheapies though, and then get loads when I buy my ovulation tests too so seems a shame to waste them 🙈🙈

I really hope other people experience this or I may die of embarrassment sharing it...

Does anyone else get a really sweaty crotch/groin during pregnancy? I find it just so unpleasant 🤢 I feel like I’m always sticky and sweaty ‘down there’, and my underwear is always damp too. And I definitely haven’t peed myself 🤣 this is in every pregnancy, and it’s one of the things that annoys me most. But I’ve never heard anyone else mention it!

I found I got a lot more discharge in second trimester onwards. Just clear-whitish but I’ve now taken to wearing panty liners every day just to keep myself feeling dry as it was getting very unpleasant!
I’ve read that hormonal changes in pregnancy can make you more sweaty too! Lovely! 😂

Me! I'm so conscious and use the little liners in my knickers. Even after a bath or shower I feel the same. It's horrible 😬
