It's normal throughout the whole thing unfortunately!
Thanks, actually feel a bit silly now because a few minutes after writing that I (TMI) had to let a big one rip and it seemed to alleviate it 😂 I didn't even realise I was that gassy tonight!

I feel like permanently gassy and bloated but I do get like small pains but they last a second if that then go away also very constipated 🤣 x

Ive gone through spells of a few days getting cramps then I have a few weeks of none and then they come back again, I think it’s just your muscles stretching and accommodating a giant uterus!

Morning everyone! I’ve been lurking this thread since I first saw it!
currently 36 weeks... I am so uncomfortable at night constantly up and down peeing and changing sides... my hips and lower back are so uncomfortable especially. I have a gigantic support pillow That isn’t cutting it anymore..
Any tips or is it just because baby is that size now?! First one so I am clueless 😂

I have no suggestions because I've never found a way to help 😂
Everyone says sleep with a pillow between your legs but I found this more uncomfortable

I'm finding my hips are really hurting in bed now and only 29 weeks so have some way to go in the size stakes!! Have a big U shaped pillow already that divides me and my husband in bed haha
I just want to lie on a giant pile of pillows!

Two more days until my 12 week scan and now the nerves are starting to kick in.
I will be 13 weeks tomorrow and had a private scan after Christmas at 11w5, everything was fine but obviously you never know how everything is going between scans at this stage when you can't feel movement etc.

Size of a lemon tomorrow, when I found out it was a poppy seed so this feels bloody massive 😮

This was 11w5, crazy to think how much it looks like a baby so early!

Hi guys, just after some advice I'm 11+2 days pregnant (2nd baby) and I've been referred by the midwife at my booking appointment to be under consultant care as I'm now classed as high risk due to previous losses, and other problems in my last pregnancy I have my consultant appt tomorrow, what actually happens at these? Anyone had any experience with being consultant led? Thank you ladies 😁 xx

It's not much different to your midwife appointments really.
They just discuss how you're feeling ect
Any questions, things like that 😊
They'll be the ones to offer you a sweep ect when you're full term

I remember sending a male friend my scan photo at 12 weeks and his response was "Wow. That's a baby?"
Um? Yes 😂
Turns out he didn't expect it to look like one yet haha 😂

Is anyone else getting worried about not being able to buy bits for the baby due to covid restrictions/lockdown until March? I’m T4 in Essex atm. I’m due in May and will buy most things online but I’m clueless about prams and had planned to start looking this month so I could have a look/try out a few. I also need to upgrade my car as it’s tiny, panicking now that I won’t have a chance to get either before baby arrives!

ME! Luckily I'm not dye until July but we had planned to have a day starting to browse baby bits after our scan to get a feel for the big stuff, prams, how much they cost, what sort of sleeping arrangement works best in our little flat etc. Now with tier 4 everything is shut and although I don't need to buy anything now I wanted to start learning what I need and figuring out what it is going to cost. As a FTM and no family local I know nothing! 😂

Hopefully you will still be okay for May, but it definitely adds an annoying stress to it all.

Its tricky. We managed to get our pram and car seat sorted the week after the November lockdown lifted.
Car seats wise - I *think* Halfords may be open as they are considered essential.

Unfortunately prams are not, if you get really stuck you could borrow someones/buy second hand although I appreciate its not ideal. Or see if any shops near you are doing appointments.

I got my cot bed and my bedside cot second hand, one of FB marketplace and one from a friend of a friend.

I think with Prams it'll have to be down to reviews.
I'm looking for a new one and due end of March but have no idea what they feel or look like in person.
Every time I've seen someone pushing one I've had a good look 😂 without seeming too creepy and staring haha!

Would not recommend a silver cross pram - It’s awful to work with

Try not to worry too much. In an ideal world everything is sorted before baby comes, but really if you have to do a few bits afterwards it won’t be the end of the world. If you can narrow down things you want (eg car, pram) then when places do open up a bit you can get out and make decisions quickly.
As long as you have a car seat, baby clothes and somewhere for them to sleep, the rest will be able to wait. You can always order a sling online to see you through until you can get a pram if needs be. None of that is ideal, of course, and absolutely not how you want to do things as a FTM ❤

With prams try and think about what you absolutely want from it - 3/4 wheels, small fold, parent facing option, ability to convert to a double, car seat compatible, large shopping basket etc. Once you’ve narrowed those things down you should be able to find a few choices which match that you can look at when things are open.

Omg me!

I am T4 and due in June. I was hoping to go to John Lewis and have a play with all the prams. I was hoping for a travel system and I’ve saved so hard to get a budget of £1500 for a travel system so I want the full experience (unlikely, I know). But something doesn’t sit right with me buying online with that cost and then possibly having the faff of sending it back if it doesn’t suit.

It’s extremely stressful and I can’t help but feel bitter and angry at all the clowns around here swanning around Home Bargains etc still and yet I can’t go out and make a meaningful purchase for my first baby. 😢

Thank you all 😊 I feel a bit better that I’m not the only one panicking. I think I will have to buckle down and start doing some research online just in case! It’s so hard when everything’s changing daily, I think I was far too optimistic thinking things would be back to normal by now. Thanks for the recommendation for Halfords and I’m going to start reading some reviews online and having a browse for secondhand prams as a back up option too.

Not all that much different, as other posters have said! It’s only because you are ‘higher risk’, more to keep an eye on you and baby.

My consultant was so lovely and had just had a baby of her own when I had our fourth - we had some amazing chats and I loaned her some of our cloth nappies to get her started

Me! I'm not due till July so I'm thinking surely there'll be a time when shops open before then although the news lately is not the most reassuring! Pram and car seat are the biggest things I'm worried about especially pram. I really need to try them out in person as I'm the type of person who struggles to open and close ironing boards so I need a pram that doesn't stress me out opening and closing it!

I've read lots of rave reviews about the Uppababy Vista and some of the icandy range but again everyone's needs and budgets will be different so it's really difficult.
