Absolutely worth mentioning asap, shoulder pain can be unrelated, not to scare you but it could also point to an ectopic pregnancy so it needs to be checked out.
Calling the GP in the morning to get the ball rolling and to be referred to midwife etc. Going to mention that my shoulder is hurting. No other significant pain anywhere else but my left shoulder is very painful. Probably nothing but definitely worth mentioning, right?
If this is shoulder tip pain it's a medical emergency and you should seek help right now. As said, it's a sign of ectopic pregnancy which can be very dangerous.

Probably nothing but definitely mention it as others have said! When I had my ectopic I had pain in my shoulder and down one side of my back but I didn’t say anything until it was too late, probably will just get a routine early scan and all will be fine ❤

Has anyone had any issues doing a sneak peek test? I am 31 weeks, ordered and tried when I was 9 weeks and I generally fainted twice while doing it! So much blood ( have no issues with blood tests before or since ) waste of bloody £80 😂

I did it but I went for the clinical option so I went in to have the blood drawn. I didn’t think it looked like you needed to collect a lot of blood with the home kit but you’ve made me glad I didn’t do it myself! 😂

Uh so I called 111 and they’re sending an ambulance. Seems a bit dramatic as I feel fine and I don’t want to cause a fuss but I guess better safe than sorry. Will keep you updated.

As said, it’s a medical emergency!!! You’re not wasting anyone’s time, an ectopic pregnancy can be life threatening, even before that stage it can compromise your fertility and needs taking seriously, don’t play anything down for fear of causing a fuss. I’ve everything crossed for you that it proves to be usual pregnancy pains but I’m so glad you’re being seen, will be thinking of you.

Ladies in the early stages please make sure you’re aware of the signs.

Hi everyone, thanks for support. Paramedics checked me over and all vitals look fine. They don’t really think anything severe is happening right now as no major stomach pain just shoulder pain. They’ve advised me to make sure I speak to GP tomorrow and see what they feel should happen next.

Hi those that have more experience than me-(FTM here) I hit the 12 week mark this week and wondering whether to continue taking folic acid or not? NHS and other reputable websites all say to take till 12 weeks but say nothing about risks OR benefits of continuing to take thereafter? I have plenty left so not really sure what to do. Same with Vitamin D I guess although I probably will continue with this as I tend to be low in it anyway (pregnancy aside).

Yes to vitamin D, you need to continue that as we should all be supplementing with vit D anyway.

Folic acid, I have been told I can stop this after 12 weeks. I take a prescribed high dose of folic acid due to family history of spina bifida, but have been told I don’t need to take it after 12 weeks (I usually continue to about 15) It won’t harm you or baby to continue taking them though if you want to continue. But the benefits are before 12 weeks as that’s when the neural tube development is happening

My midwife told me to keep taking the folic acid as I had the tub of it anyways. Deff keep taking the vitamin D throughout.

Do you have just a general pregnancy vitamin? I just take these throughout and they have folic acid and vitamin D in too 😊

Had a GP call today and they said to call back when I’m 7 weeks and they’ll refer me to a midwife. Midwife appointment won’t be until 10 weeks. Bit disappointed. Glad we have the private early scan booked for 7 weeks so we can at least see if everything’s ok.

Yeah that's normally the case.
Although I waited until almost 7 weeks anyway to contact the GP and had a self referral link sent to me. Then had my appointment between 10 and 11 weeks.
They don't see you before 10 weeks because of the chances of miscarriage.
Good that you've got a private scan though 😊

Did you guys need a full bladder for the 20 week scan? I haven't had any communication, in leaflets I've got it says I might need to have a full bladder. I just rang the midwife and she was like 'er I don't think so' which didn't sound very confident.
