I will echo what other people have said and say that eating even if you don't feel like it or feel sick was the only way for me to stop feeling like I was going to be sick 24/7! I was sick quite a bit especially the very early weeks until I read that eating was the best thing and when I finally braved it I was finally able to get out of bed in the morning without being sick instantly. I even worried (and posted on here) about not feeling sick enough around weeks 8/9 as I had been so used to feeling and being sick a lot (and with my 1st child it was a constant feeling but I never knew about eating to stop the sickness with him). Looking back it's crazy because I was carrying twins and didn't know at that point, if I had known I definitely would have worried more about the lack of sickness but I put that down to how much eating actually did help for me!

Can I ask which combo you were on? I’m on 10mg of prochlorperazine three times a day and though i’m not physically being sick, I do beeline for the toilet a lot as i’m unsure what exorcism is about to take place 😭
If they'll prescribe it, try Xonvea!!! I've heard amazing things about it. I was put on metoclopramide which worked fab for me and if it didn't Xonvea was next on the list. I believe you have to fight to get it prescribed though as it's more expensive than the usual anti sickness, but from research I'm sure it's the only drug specifically for pregnancy sickness.

It becomes a long lost memory before your second and then you remember 😂 your mind plays tricks on you.
This 😂 I just had my fingers crossed I wouldn’t get the tiredness this time around and surely it wasn’t THAT bad. Well it sure was in the first trimester with baby #2 I was on my knees 😭

Granted my first birth wasn’t too traumatic but I can’t even remember what the pain felt like. It’s mad what your brain blocks out.

I felt better both pregnancies with tiredness and sickness by about week 10/11 @OOOOR.

You forget! Although i definitely have a physical reaction to reading 'the smartest giant in town' from when I was in the 1st tri with my 2nd. I am pregnant with #3 now and I think the nausea gets worse every time. But for me it was peak 7-11 weeks and at 14 weeks I am fairly normal again.
I had the exact same experience.
Week 14 I was out the trench. 7-10 were horrendous, I felt so sorry for myself and couldn’t believe I was feeling the way I was. Physically sick 3-4 times a day and then nauseous for 24hrs. Horrendous.

My pregnancy rage is steadily climbing the more people are asking me how I am. I know people are being nice but my days are the exact same:

-Get up exhausted because I was up 10-12 times struggling to turn over at night
-Sit on sofa with coffee reading an old paper
-Lunch
-Catch up on Christmas TV/movies
-Nap
-Sofa
-Dinner
-Bedtime scaries

I have no idea when this baby is coming just leave me alone 😩

31+2 and I am doneeeeee. Less than 6 weeks to go until my scheduled section date. Still signed off work until the 2nd week of Jan, but currently have no idea how I can be in an office all day. Just walking to the kitchen and back is exhausting and that's without the effort of getting out of my pjs.

Starting to worry about preeclampsia too as I had protein in my urine when I had my kidney infection (which turned out to be E. coli related🥴) and they said they'll retest it in Jan to see if it's gone.

Can't stand up for long without feeling lightheaded, PGP is excruciating and don't even talk to me about sleeping. I am knackered.

Fellow PGP sufferer here. Genuinely looking forward to birth bc it means I can say goodbye to PGP. I just want my mobility back!

Hi, can anyone recommend nice maternity leggings please? Currently 28 weeks pregnant and my usual leggings are too tight around my bump.

Lovall/Love Leggings, all over Vinted as well for a few quid off! Really nice to carry on wearing post partum as well. I bought my normal size.

I bought some sweaty Betty ones, really comfy and a big band for your belly. Can find them on Vinted or I got some in the SB sale (only some colours were in the sale when I bought).

Back with my weekly nausea rant. After a trip to A&E for some rehydration my gp has agreed to put me on metoclopramide for a short while. One dose in and I’m chugging a mcdonald’s milkshake like it’s the nectar of the gods. I hope it continues to work because I was in a seriously bad place

how long did they put you on metoclopramide if you don't mind me asking? I was just put on it for a short course and I think I'm expected to go to A&E and beg for other drugs because my gp won't try anything else  9 weeks today and hoping I get the fun pregnancy feeling soon because my brain is a dumpster fire of feeling I've made a terrible mistake

It was the midwife who arranged metoclopramide with the consultant for me at my 8 week booking appt. In didn't have severe sickness, but I had severe nausea to the point where I couldn't eat or drink. I got given a 3 month prescription there and then! Got told that if the sickness didn't subside I would be prescribed more.

They didn't want to prescribe Xonvea though and I know many women have fought to get it bcus of how effective it has been.

Hope you get somewhere soon. It really is awful feeling so sick and being sick. xx

I’m tentatively back here as I’m 6 weeks today, after a chemical in October. My first pregnancies so I’m still totally clueless, I have been testing frantically and stopped myself now as the anxiety isn’t doing me any favours!

My NHS trust use Badger notes, and with my first pregnancy in October I only got notification of my first appointment a couple of days before (obviously I then didn’t need it and had to have an awkward conversation to cancel!) I’m a total newbie and don’t even know when I should be having it and if I just need to wait to hear from them.

I’m full of questions about pregnancy, maternity, age (I’m 36 so ancient in baby world 🙄) so been scouring old threads trying to cram some knowledge in, all while desperately trying not to get ahead of myself. I can’t even have a conversation with OH without the caveat “if all goes well” 🥴

Don’t mind me, I’ll be here trying to learn from everyone what on earth I’m doing 😂

I could have written this minus the chemical, can’t imagine the anxiety you currently have.
I am of the same age and was totally clueless of the process.
I also use badger notes and my appointments seem
To show up pretty early. As soon as o found out I phoned the midwife department at my GP and explained to them that I didn’t know the process.
they were so nice and spoke me through everything and got me booked in for my booking appointment which triggered everything else.
I feel it’s expected at our age we should know the process of pregnancy but I can’t lie and say I feel ignorant to it all as never experienced it
