Baby Muff arrived early this morning - and she’s a she! Very big surprise. Gas & air and some codeine. We were too far gone For an epidural. So ummm OWWWWW. We’re both doing well and I’m just glad I don’t have to be anxious about movements anymore!!!!
Oh this is wonderful news! Glad you are both doing well! No need for the induction either :) ❤❤

Yesssss! Congratulations Muff, Mr Muff and Baby Muff. At the risk of being heteronormative, I’m currently raising what could be a great husband/life partner for Baby Muff 🤣 would be a great ending to our shared story!

So glad you are both well. What a hero for getting through on G&A and codeine.

I love this so much 😂 a tattle baby love story! So exciting that we’ve had at least two arrivals in this thread now! I’ve still got a bit to go so I think we might be looking at another couple of threads away 😂

In other moany news I have woken up with a cold which is grim, and I’m too late waking up for the usual time I can guarantee to feel baby amarantine move so today will be a day of moving around to find the right position to feel baby so I do not need another Sunday trip to triage. Also if I go again in the next couple of weeks it will refer me for a growth scan and that is a pain for work because we are so short staffed and I can’t get cover 😂 I don’t know if this is general policy but in my NHS trust it is - two triage trips for reduced movement after 26 weeks in the space of two weeks means a scan. So let’s all send positive wriggling about thoughts to Baby A so I do not have to bugger about with this 😂😂

I had a growth scan after one triage trip. Really hope the cold buggers off quickly. It’s so miserable not being able to just dose yourself up. Think positive thoughts about baby A - I was worried about baby muff so went into triage and ended up going into labour. 🙈 she was just resting because she knew she was about to explode out of me alien style. Not that I’m wishing you go into early labour 😬

Haha I hope that doesn’t happen, would be a nightmare for maternity pay and cover 😂 baby A has been moving around a bit now so we’re all good - for the moment! Honestly of all the things I thought I’d worry about during pregnancy being obsessed with movement was not one of them 😂 hope baby muff is settling in well to the world after her dramatic entrance!

I got an extra growth scan after one trip to maternity triage, because I had ended up in the big hospital (I actually bypassed maternity triage for speed and went into labour suite) a week or so earlier because the midwife (and her senior colleague) couldn’t find the baby’s heartbeat on the doppler. Then I had reduced movements so went in to triage one Sunday. I got a bit freaked out by how insistent everyone was that I had this urgent growth scan but everything turned out absolute fine, if a bit faffy to go to the hospital for an unexpected scan.

So glad you felt movement! You do get quite obsessive and it’s so hard - especially if you don’t have a really active baby. Just btw baby muff is super chilled so I understand why she was a little quieter in utero!

On a side note - I love the nhs but my god they dilly dally and waste resource. We were told we could probably go home yesterday we just needed to wait for a paeds dr. 6 hours later they finally came and by then the blood bank was backed up so we had to stay overnight. Did the dr coke and see us first thing asap today? lol no. Still nothing. If I have to eat one more meal that makes me feel like they left it to boil into slop for 4 days - I’m going to jump out of the window.

Oh this is so frustrating! I hope you get to go home soon, nothing worse than feeling stuck there!

Baby A is always really active, when we had ctg monitoring last time we went to triage baby was literally moving the whole time, the line to show baby moving was almost continuous but the times I clicked because I felt movement was only for a few minutes in the middle! In fact we had to stay plugged in to the monitor for ages because baby kept flipping about and wouldn’t calm down 😂 so it’s super frustrating that I don’t feel the movements most of the time!

Weeeee! We thought we were having another boy so had boy names picked out. I think we’ve finally settled on a name. But it was hard!

Scan day tomorrow, almost 13 weeks. Going in slightly confident that everything is ok as we did have a scan 3 weeks ago but still nervous.. hate scans so much 😭

I am loving the fishy names. Think Crabstick and Prawn Cocktail are near the top 🤣🤣

Also found out yesterday that I have an anterior placenta (they're both at the front) I never had this with my first baby and I was wondering why the movement was so faint.. and now allllll I'm worrying about is how I'm going to feel movement properly. Has anyone else got an anterior placenta?

I'll obviously mention it at my next appointment and maybe they'll do more checks, who knows!
