31 weeks now and oh my god am I suffering. Heartburn is killing me off slowly alongside feeling so full and sore (?! never had soreness with my first) my bump is rock hard which makes me think it’s some sort of braxton hicks but it’s driving me nuts
Hope it went ok! It took me a while to get back to my normal waxing because of the scary stories you read online about pain, but other than the fact it was worse due to months of regrowth, since then it's been absolutely fine, no different. I use it to practice my hypnobirthing breathingI’ve gone off all my healthy snacks and now I just want bread and biscuits. It all started so well! MrDragName seems to be trying to out-snack me though, keep having to remind him he is not the upduffed one…
I have a waxing appointment later (upper leg and Hollywood) and I’m terrified that additional blood flow in the general region might make it more painful. I’ve become a total wuss! I will tell my waxer I’m pregnant because that’s what the internet told me to do. She has a slightly scary but very effective technique of putting wax on basically everywhere and ripping it all off at once rather than little bits at a time, so there are minimal times when there’s pain and it’s short lived but she when she’s slathering all that wax on everything my brain starts going ‘why are you here? This is madness!’ Hahaha!
Hey we are going end of may and my midwife advised me to ask before my 25 week appointment with her incase they needed anymore information.Has anyone got a fit to fly / certificate from Doctor to fly? We go mid June and I’ll be 28 weeks. It’s a 5 hour flight. At what point would you ask the Dr for this, maybe end of May? Thanks x
It was ok! The, errr, back end part was INTENSE but short lived which surprised me. I think my problem was that I was obsessed with the idea it would hurt more than usual so did a lot of tensing. She did lots more of the backs of my legs lying on my side and I was on my front for the shortest time possible. Will go back in 6 weeks, haha!Hope it went ok! Anyone who has a Hollywood wax is an absolute hero in my eyes! I’ve always wanted one but I’m so terrified of the pain, it literally scares me more than giving birthIt was ok! The first (or the first in ages/having shaved in between) is the worst for sure. I originally had my first Hollywood waxed with the soft wax and the paper strips. That was insane. The hard wax stuff that you peel off with your fingers is definitely not as bad. The first time I went to my current waxer she put ALL the wax on me at once, explaining this was how she did it and I was lowkey starting to sweat because there was no backing out or changing my mind, haha! But it’s a bit intense for literally a few seconds and then it’s over. I’m actually the hairiest woman on the planet, yay PCOS, so this just works for me. I am quite scared of giving birth, howeverAnyone who has a Hollywood wax is an absolute hero in my eyes! Totally relate. The 12 week wait for my first scan was the longest ever. And now I still feel anxious as my pregnancy symptoms come and go. I have another scan in two weeks so here’s hoping all is well!Only 6 weeks here , I've nearly had an idea since 3 weeks that I was pregnant but this last week I've had zero symptoms...
I'm climbing the walls with anxiety
Ask your gp to be referred to epu for a scan or bloods xOnly 6 weeks here , I've nearly had an idea since 3 weeks that I was pregnant but this last week I've had zero symptoms...

I have been TTC for years and always had my fave girls name and knew I’d use it when I finally got pregnant. I’m now 9 weeks pregnant and I can’t use the name because of a porn star too!!!We’ve taken to calling the bubba Junior [Our Surname], abbreviated to initials so if our surname was Dragname we’d be calling it JD. I feel like we’re setting ourselves up to either have to name the baby a name beginning with J or name the baby after one of us, to be known as Junior forevermore. I can’t imagine we’ll tell anyone our thoughts on names. I did have a girl’s name in mind but it turns out there is a porn star with that exact name so.. that’s probably out!
We don't get an early scan in Ireland, the hse only provide a scan before 15 weeks and the anatomy scan around 20-22 weeks..Ask your gp to be referred to epu for a scan or bloods x
I was exactly the same - until 10 weeks hit and the nausea arrived and lasted until 25ish weeks!Only 6 weeks here , I've nearly had an idea since 3 weeks that I was pregnant but this last week I've had zero symptoms...

I now have a beautiful 11 week old little girl![]()
I'm the same as you. Weight has gone everywhere other than the bump so I just look very chunky. Don't have anything productive to say other than you're not alone.Really struggling with the weight gain 🫠 I’ve not got much of a bump it’s more on my thighs, back large, back rolls and hips
I know this is temporary but it’s really bothering my mind![]()
No harm in asking ! Baby is term so they might consider it . Sorry your feeling so poorlyRiddle me this… my section is booked for the 17th when I’m 39+3. Am 37 weeks tomorrow but have just spent the last week in hospital after collapsing and being bluelighted there after struggling with my back for a week (threw it out cleaning the toilet but went down like a sack of) I’ve spent almost 2 weeks unable to walk and am currently on crutches and can’t manage without them. I’ve not slept for almost 2 weeks and am constantly in discomfort. Unable to do basic tasks and I also have a 2.5 year old so my husband is struggling doing everything.
Do I ask them to bring my section forward? Will it provide any relief whatsoever? Or has the damage already been done? I am HUGE and baby is pulling everything forwards which isn’t helping but I can’t imagine having this pain PLUS a newborn PLUS a toddler not in nursery over the Easter hols. I am genuinely on the edge. Think I’ve cried every day for the last 2 weeks. Not doing this again![]()
