I have been struggling with constipation which is a weird swerve from my pre-pregnancy life where my anxiety caused me to have the runs every morning without fail. I went all out with apricots this morning and went back into night time magnesium supplements over the last few today has been a bit more, errr, successful!
This is me too! Constantly constipated so been prescribed lactulose 🫠

Suffering with severe water retention today and tried a bikini on as we go away in a few weeks and WOW what a silly move as I feel and look like a washed up whale 🫠😭

Same I have been suffering with constipation I was in agony last weekend 😭 got lactulose as well and was drinking prune juice... Absolutely vile but it works! 😂

Posted a couple of weeks ago about feeling really disconcerted about lack of symptoms. Had my first appointment with Consultant yesterday (booking appointment) and I had genuinely prepared myself for her to give bad news. I wouldn't even look at the ultrasound monitor until she said everything looks good. So I am indeed pregnant! A few days behind what my EDD was based on my LMP, so I will only be 10 weeks on Sunday.

It was so surreal to hear the heartbeat and see the little blob! It's my first pregnancy and it hasn't been easy to even get to this point and I was thinking it might not happen for us. Seeing the joy on my partner's face was perhaps the best part as I was still basically shell shocked for the rest of the day 🤣

I still really have bizarrely few symptoms and feel very normal. I will say my skin is now rapidly going to tit with breakouts, which I luckily don't usually suffer from. And the odd day where I've insane fatigue, but then can be relatively grand for days again. I guess I should be really grateful I'm so well! Hopefully don't jinx myself now!

Pregnancy can be hugely anxiety ridden. This is my second but it took me a while and I am so much more anxious with this one and keep worrying about anything and everything (still having some morning sickness or on the nice days not having any symptoms). I also still get super anxious before scans. I’d love to have some perfect words to help you but all we can do is just cling on to hope. That’s why threads like these are so great because you can just air all your concerns and I can promise you that someone else will be feeling the same. X

I’m the same with no symptoms and I’m 25 weeks! I honestly feel no different. I’ve not been sick once and I just feel as normal still as I have the whole way through.

Feeling a lot of pressure in my bum the last few days to the point it feels like the baby is going to come out my bum when I bend over. Had midwife appointment this week and baby is head down and she said bum pressure is a good sign, but just wondering if it's any indication of how far away labour is?

I had this for maybe a week before labour this time, it’s a good sign that baby is well engaged. Of it’s not your first though, they can bob in and out of the pelvis

I'm 36+2 at the moment so hoping they hold on a bit longer. Husband is going away overnight on Saturday for a work thing that he tried to get of but couldn't and I'm just praying it's not that night.

I'm grateful that I've not had actual sickness but 80% of the time I'm at that level of nausea like when you've tried to read in the car and you get a little ooooooop better stop that now feeling

PREGNANCY RELATED:

Hi, my Down’s syndrome, Edwards & patau’s risk is low but my blood tests have suggested my PAPP-A is 0.81 MoM does this mean I am at risk of pre eclampsia? I am 34, I have PCOS & it has been 10 years since I’ve last delivered so my pregnancy is high risk. Thank you. Pics in comments xx

Hi,

this is something I cannot specifically comment on but I am high risk due to Antiphospholipid syndrome which has the potential to cause the issues that PPAP-A mainly placenta problems and pre eclampsia due to my immune system causing blood thickening and clots.
I would speak to your midwife asap and they may suggest taking asprin to help thin your blood as a precaution.
I also bought a blood pressure monitor and I do this daily….my midwife does it weekly.
It really helps with my anxiety. Knowing I have a normal range blood pressure and if it went up I could go to hospital really helps. I also use urine strips once a week to detect protein
I have worried a lot but these things help.

my friend had pre eclampsia and she was taken into hospital and monitored very closely.
So what I’m trying to say is that if there are any issues you’ll be monitored and looked after .

I wasn’t high risk but did this. It’s important not to self diagnose of course and always get a second opinion if anything feels off even if it looks ok, but it gives peace of mind and it helps if you have to call in to tell them what your BP is and anything on the strips.

Be aware when looking at the strips though that vitamin C (even a glass of OJ) can cause them to give inaccurate readings on some factors.

Im high risk due to age/ white coat hypertension/ivf/ etc and have been taking my BP daily as well. I've been prescribed aspirin and have had it since like week 13.

I’ve just found out I’m pregnant and I’m in complete shock. I have been trying to lose weight for fertility treatment so this has just come out of the blue. Praying that it sticks! Anyone got good recommendations for vitamins and anything I should be doing in general? I think I’m about 5 weeks. I have had late periods before but I realised it had been two years since I’d been this late and well three tests later and here we are…

Congratulations! Start taking pregnancy vitamins and stop drinking alcohol/smoking if you do either. Look online to refer yourself for pregnancy care in your local area and you’ll be contacted with a booking in appointment

Thank you! I can’t believe this is real, trying not to get ahead of myself.

Got back from our last holiday as a duo at 3:30 am this morning. We went straight to bed and I slept till 9am which, for my entire pregnancy so far, was the best sleep I’ve had in ages! I did manage some plane snoozes as well. So, I did what any sensible pregnant woman would do and instead of unpacking, I got out and mowed the lawn and used my leaf blower/mulcher to get up a tonne of leaves. It feels nice to have some energy back although I fear the crash when it comes! Unfortunately being out in our scruffy garden and garage has made me think of a myriad of projects I want us to tackle before Junior comes. My long suffering husband will be delighted 🤣 the look of confusion on his face when I said to him ‘I’m just oiling my hair then I’m off to cut the grass’.
