My hands have slowly started to swell up. I noticed it after a walk yesterday and again this morning. It's not terrible, I just look like I have sausage fingers 😂

I’ve had one done and was also sick before the time was up so rebooked. I was wondering what happened if the same happened again! Absolutely dreading going back, the drink wasn’t even bad but just made me so poorly after an hour in
I don't know if every hospital does the same but I really hope you're offered home tests if the same happens again. I felt so rough for hours after the drink yesterday.

Mine have gradually swollen over the last few weeks, can no longer get my rings on but wouldn’t have noticed it otherwise 🤣

Hoping they return to normal fairly quickly after 🤞🏻 3 weeks to go (hopefully), not sure I could mentally or physically cope going over 😬

Can anyone tell me when they got their MATB1 form for second pregnancy? Im 21 weeks now and thought i got it first time round around 20 weeks off my midwife but im not seeing her again until 28 weeks. So just a bit concerned and probably worrying for nothing

You can ring the community midwives office number and they will either post one out to you or you can pick it up from the clinic ☺ usually it’s given between 20-24 weeks but most areas don’t offer a 24 week appointment unless it’s first baby ☺

I was awful - banging head all night and just felt terrible. I full on blacked out before I was sick so I’m going to ask my midwife next week if it’s entirely necessary or if there is another option.
I was also paranoid that meant I had GD but apparently it doesn’t have a link 🤞🏻

Does anyone have any good cream/ lotion recommendations for stretch marks please? Just in the early days where they’re fresh and slightly painful and red. Thank you 💙

Growth scan went went, baby is measuring perfectly. Feel like the tape measure method just causes unnecessary stress but I get it’s easier for them to do than all the ultrasounds

Has anybody seen the news today about maternity care? Think it was in Shropshire
Unfortunately nearly half of maternity providers are rated as inadequate/requires improvement, including the trust I work at.

it is scary to read these things, but I absolutely urge anyone who has had a negative experience to feed it back to the trust. There will not be more funding for maternity services unless people feedback the bad stuff, don’t think ‘oh it doesn’t matter they won’t do anything about it’, because we need those higher up to see how unsafe things can be.
We want the best outcomes for women and babies, and we need the funding and staff in order to do that. Women will always have babies, and unfortunately as a sector, maternity/obs/gynae is very low on the list of priorities.

But know that we will still aim to give you the care you all deserve, no matter how short staffed or underfunded we are 🤍

mine was for static growth and they told me it had to be done within 72 hours!Do you have yours regularly?
I’ve never had one! I’m 32 weeks but they won’t see me until 36 weeks. I was already booked for a private 4D and she did my measurements there which was all okay so reassuring but wish they would’ve seen me before at hospital

When do you know it’s time to see about going to hospital with sickness? I’m 7 weeks and I’ve been sick 5-10 times every day this week and I’m the last 36 hours or so I’ve not managed to keep anything down including water. My heart rate feels a little high and I’m definitely peeing less.

If you can’t keep water down for more than a day you should go in, it’s better to err on the side of caution here. I felt a bit daunted about going in but we had to go last week and they were super kind and lovely. We were seen within 10 mins of arriving.

Thank you, did you just take yourself straight to A&E or go through out of hours/111 first? Suppose it might be different with each trust! I don’t want to waste anyone’s time if I don’t actually need to be there.
